Tis True... young Belle is a youngster... hardly a gleam in her Daddy's eye whilest we endured the near beer of Emporia... She's grown to be a lovely young lady in mind and body so's she gets to come in here whenever she pleases... (plus she talks real southern) Belle! I just looked at the pic you linked to... you had Blonde hair in the pic I saw before! What gives? Have you been ailing?

wow man! did you get that info from one of those wine bottles? if not, and you got it from your spirit guide, meet me halfway at one of those indian casinos and we'll make some money!

I think I saw your profile there... but there weren't any pics of you vacuuming! :(

well... we do have a little gathering in Houston the first weekend in November... check the Texas BBQ thread... if you're close enough. P.S. take what rhino says with a grain of salt... this time of year he's pretty heavy into the nectar of the grapes (if you know what I mean)

...well then she must have meant it!

Nandon, have you checked out the CompUSA website? Here's a link to their page listing online training. I know some in the past have used them. You don't need to own the software, you use theirs online and work at your own pace and the price is reasonable. I know they've closed a bunch of stores around here lately but they may still be open online... at least the links are there.

sure rhino... but I didn't think it was a prediction but more a statement of the obvious :) I do predict the CR bounce back tonight though... and steal the home field advantage from the AL... ...but I don't know anything, it's the postseason and sometimes things aren't what they seem... I guess some could look at it as the CR had to have a record breaking ride just to get here while the BoSox coasted in (to the postseason) and naturally should win in a seven game series... but then there's that 'destiny' thing that sometimes takes over and before you know it... (and heck ...I hold little hope for ANY TEAM to win against Beckett, especially in the postseason)

who are all of those people over there on that other site with gray hairs? except for sweetniKa of course... then again, I guess Rocky's isn't gray there's just less of it... (I prefer to say that mine is now "ash blonde")

I still haven't seen what I'd call a "personal attack"... I've seen folks responding to your bizarre statements...

I too have 'gotten over it' years ago... I think "newly out" folks, or those thinking about 'getting out', benefit from the stories told (and retold sometimes) here... I think they provide a sort of reinforcement for them that they've made (or are making) the right decision. I know that when I walked away years ago, long before it was popular, that it was so hard for me at times because there wasn't any information out there that I could look to that helped me to know that TWI was not what we thought it was... I just had to believe that what I felt in my heart was right in spite of all of the TWI voices going through my head telling me I was walking out from under the umbrella, that I'd die and become a greasespot... (well, I guess I eventually did become a greasespot) I think that one can 'get over it' but it takes everyone a different amount of time... and if the telling and re-telling of the stories helps speed up that process... well, as has been already stated, that's one of the reasons we're here... stories get told and re-told (IMO) in an effort to help folks 'get over' TWI or not go in TWI... it's not (and never has been for me) that folks are 'stuck in the past' or can't forgive... I feel part of my duty to my fellow humans is to help them avoid what I went through either in 'getting in' or in 'getting out'...

where on the other site? ...I looked for a "JohnHenry"... oh... I get it now...

I don't know about that starman... I think you need to focus your Jedi mind trick on the Rockies players... not the fans! I don't know about everyone else here, but I held little hope for the CR to win against Beckett... maybe a 5% shot at it (if that)... Schilling's another deal... IF they take what he gives them like they did during the other two series they'll be fine and we'll have at least a five game series... Beckett gives the opposing hitters nothing... Schilling on the other hand, well... the old gray mare she aint what she used to be...

ADan, I don't understand.... DWBH, Are these bits and pieces that you have been posting parts of the "code of conduct" that each and every one of the CES/STFI leaders pledged to abide by??? If that's the "code of conduct" they all pledged to abide by then they... well ...they obviously haven't so they should just step down. There doesn't need to be any public explanation... it's quite obvious that they have not kept their vow, they've broken the trust that is needed to be effective leaders. If they want to "stay on" as leaders it would seem that they need to make some sort of similar public proclamation as to what went on and how they're going to keep it from happening again... SOMEWHERE... anywhere... How can they hope for anyone to trust them otherwise? If they're afraid that by "going public" it will ruin the ministry... then maybe, just maybe, that's as it should be.

starman... I gotta know... did you (and the nation) break out in a sweat there in the top of the ninth when Gagne came in?
-
no offense to anyone who has posted on this thread... but I'm getting "tired head" and must go watch game one...

One does have to wonder... heck, who among us (most of us anyway) didn't figure out every way we could to hide the transistor radio and snake the wire for the earplug up through our clothing and into our ear? ...and then sit there at our desk leaning forward on one elbow (while our hand covered our earplug), looking eager to learn and interested in class... ...only to have the teacher ask us "what's the score?" Every autumn of my youth, at least as far back as I can remember, was spent trying to sneak a transistor radio into school... They're losing a lot of kids... but the mighty advertising dollars speak... only they won't speak forever... it's unholy of me to even think this but 'Dancing With The Stars' will probably beat the WS in ratings when they go head to head... THAT SHOULD NOT EVEN BE A REMOTE POSSIBILITY! It's an outrage I tell ya! they should start the games at whatever the 'normal' game time is locally for the team... if those folks on the west coast (sorry hiway) want to see/listen to it... they'll find a way... they get to live in California, the land of Ricky Nelson, it seems a small price to pay...

(my bold) Cowgirl, if by "cliquish" you mean that there seems to be "a lot of folks that hold the same opinions" and have "the same way of looking at things" and have developed "cyber-friendships" by hanging out here... then yes, it is kind of "cliquish" (I think you invented a word)... Heck, I think I belong (inadvertantly) to several "cliques" here... and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing... I think it's natural. BUT... to address the part of Larry's quote in bold above... that comparison does not hold water IMO... because a lot of us invested and committed our lives and our money in TWI (and CES) and therefore did (and do) have the right to challenge them... unless I'm missing something here, no one has invested and committed ANYTHING to GSC other than we seem to spend a lot of time hanging out here... and by "here" I mean a website/discussion board that is provided to us free of charge... I don't think there is anyone hanging out here against their will... there's no mind control being practiced (as far as I can tell)... To claim that you (or anyone) has "the right to challenge" the person who owns this board, and the people who give their time to help moderate it... that is a load of krap. In reality NONE OF US even have "the right" to post here... we're lucky that we have this place at all... and all "the management asks is that we keep it to a low roar, play nice and clean up after ourselves... That being said... the management (as far as I know) has always had an "open door policy" with a lot of the policies and their application here...

Yeah hiway... but I don't see that happening (him hitting .250)... I really do watch with great respect when I see him at the plate... If he took the rest of the areas of the game as seriously as he does hitting... wow... think of the possibilities... What if Vlad had his plate discipline? there's another one...

I'm with you starman... after this climactic week or so... I'll be waiting for opening day... I think it's why winter is so cold and bleak... there's no baseball...
