should be good... Rays were up 10W/8L for the regular season... Rays seem to be unaffected by the post season (so far)... from the regular season though it looks like it's a home/home series in that the Rays were 8/1 at home and the BoSox were 7/2 at home... LAD v Phillies is harder to pick, all their games were played after the trade with each team winning their 4 home games... should be very nice... But it is the post season, for the right to go to the WS... which team has shot all their bullets?

yeah... I'm thinking they'll leave Lowell out of the lineup tonight... I also think it was kind of a tribute to him that Francona put him in the first home game... it looks like the Angels bats have woken up somewhat and hits need to count... Speaking of which... did Torii forget how close the LFer is at Fenway? What was he thinking with his bad knee? ...but it did look like he almost beat the tag (if he didn't) by reaching around...

I looked at your article mstar... gave me tired head... too early for all of that! One thing is for sure... in the Angels/BoSox series we are seeing two of the better managers in baseball... come to think of it, that's a common denominator with all of the teams in the playoffs (excepting Mil and it's too soon to tell)

I know I'm not telling you guys anything you don't know already but Manny in the lineup effects (to a degree) the pitches the batters see on both sides of him... couple that with the psyche of the team? ...dramatic turnaround. Was it just me or did the Cubbies seem to be somewhat "uptight" these three games? If so ...is it Lou? ...or Lou's team prep? I won't feel sad for the Angels fans either... or the Boston fans... or the Brewer fans.... or the Debbil Ray fans... or the Dodger fans ...or the Phillie fans ...or the White Sox fans ...or the Cubbies fans!

Papelbon can be gotten to as well... the angels of LAA are capable of turning right around and blowing it open... of course, the BoSox are also capable of keeping them down... now you'll get to turn your late night viewing into watching Manny for a couple of days ...maybe. Starman! you need to get on the horn to Theo and tell him to put a big pile of money in front of Texeira... he'd be a perfect pairing with Youkilis... he didn't play first base until he got to the bigs, came up as a third baseman... don't know how many more years Lowell has on his contract but he'd be a good addition for y'all and the lure of the ring might just keep him from going to Baltimore... One thing I'm thinking (about the one sided games) is that some of these teams got to throw their big guys out there while the others didn't or if they did they did it on short rest... makes a big difference in the mindset of all the players... it sure looks like it's gonna come down to the Rays and BoSox and Phillies and LAD though...

oh... and did you guys know that there's only ONE October? I've learned that watching these playoffs...
