A cowgirl walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud. She sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When she finishes them, she comes back to the bar and orders three more. The bartender approaches and tells the cowgirl, "You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it. It would taste better if you bought one at a time." The cowgirl replies, "Well, you see, I have two sisters. One is in Australia, the other is in Dublin. When we all left home, we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank together. So I'm drinking one beer for each of my sisters and one for myself." The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there. The cowgirl becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way. She orders three mugs and drinks them in turn. One day, she comes in and only orders two mugs. All the regulars take notice and fall silent. When she comes back to the bar for the second round, the bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your loss." The cowgirl looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in her eyes and she laughs. "Oh, no, everybody's just fine," she explains, "It's just that my husband and I joined the church and I had to quit drinking. Hasn't affected my sisters, though."

What did you think of post #17? It looks pretty much like what has been requested for months... -
dooj... they have pots and pans! I saw them! ...no, wait... I saw cookies, I saw doggies, I saw their beautiful home and beautiful daughter... but there was a kitchen! ...so there must've been pots and pans...

thanks paw... and look! OM even came out in drag!

well... either look in your local newspaper movie section or look at what's playing at your local cinema and then guess... it's playing in theaters right now.

as soon as you fix it to the regular title you will be the wiener...

yeah... I just read that in SI about an hour ago... I don't buy the 'we were trying to be different' with the spelling of names... I think that (in most cases) the parent(s) didn't know how to spell...

dangit. I forgot the W on Jones' name... I knew it was unorthodoz but couldn't remember the W... anyway... we'll just get our RBI somewhere else! we've got Sammy ya know! A team that I forgot that could play in Torii is ChiSox... unless they're just making noise...

I think we'd take that in a hearbeat! One of the guys was arguing on the radio today that Andru Jones is younger and has better numbers the last couple of years... and he's played most of his games outside... and that Torii would be nice, but for that money we'd all be calling him out in a couple of years if we weren't "where we want to be"... So yeah, I'm cooling a bit on Torii and becoming a little more practical... besides, he'll probably go to NY or LA (either one of them)...

I don't know Outfield... that was after my time (81?)... in the late 70's he was just beginning to be talked about... there's a lot of great knowledge and wisdom in the first two books The Tracker and the second one (although I don't remember the name)... he's also written a number of field/survival guides...

OK. I remember at about 3 I went out to the back yard and thought someone had cut off Blackie's ear... I went screaming to my momma, turned out it was only turned up and laying back like a dogs ears sometimes do... I remember laying on a wooden floor on many saturday afternoons (probably from about age 3 on) watching baseball games with my dad on the little B&W TV... I remember busting my eyebrow open after falling in the tub (also about 3 or so) but don't remember how I did it, just that I had to go get sewn up... I remember taking my big brother's bike (again about 3) and just getting on it and riding it out of the driveway and down the street, of course I didn't know how to make it stop but the juniper bush did... I remember having crabapple wars but that could've been anytime up to when I was 5 and we moved from that house... I guess a lot of them start at 3 or so, but I remember stuff from all through the years... amazingly... except for the ages of 16-20... hmm, I wonder why that is?

...and just think, any one of them can be posted here at the GSC!

I don't know exactly what's going on but I saw a couple of them on the west bound side of the highway last night... I stopped and gave them some granola bars and kelp and slipped them a couple of bucks... They said they were heading out to the bay area for some kind of "happening"... these were going to go through the Grand Canyon to meet up with others on the way, then across southern Utah so keep an eye out for them and help them if you see them... You folks out west should probably start seeing more of them as they all get nearer... it's always an Amazing experience to visit with them...

Torii wants a lot of $$$... forgive me lord, but I think for the money I'd like to have Coco roaming CF (he's always played well here) and take my chances with Rudy Jaramillo helping him out... Also, I don't know that I'd have given ARod such a landslide win... ...and he does get a $1.5 million dollar bonus for the MVP!

What I'm saying is they seem to only be using it ONE way... to send their "messages" to the masses... not to atone to the masses when their messages have been FUBAR. "i believe the folks who set their life up to "instruct" others on how to live so God loves ya , Often feel the students they crave need them . a sense of entitlement and purpose can become warped to set them apart from reality so to speak." keen insight pond ...and then they are shocked when they don't get that 'craving' from the students ...yeah, and it doesn't need to be a 'burden'... that seems to occur when there's no balance between 'teacher' and 'student'... when there's no longer a willingness to 'learn' because there's been so much krap shoved down their throats...

It was out for a short while: Idiocracy (didn't see it though)
