MyseestorEx... how I love thee, thou knowest mine heart... but I am feeble and aged and it takes me longer to get here... niKa... I have not done that diet diet for I have not willpower nor discipline in my life... but... take a look at a book called "Bodystat", it worked (back when I had a small amount of discipline and willpower)... I lost sixty pounds (yes, that's right 60#) in three and a half months... and it's not a crash diet, you lose what you don't need... I had a lot I didn't need... DotDotDot... Along the lines of what our friend across the pond said... those people didn't act that way because they were homosexual, they acted that way because they were rude and had no manners or boundaries... and you and your husband should have responded to them the same as if it had been women hitting on him (you did)... bad manners is bad manners, unacceptable behavior is unacceptable behavior... I love you, but I disagree that society tells us we have to tiptoe around... tell them (you did), if their response is as you stated, that doesn't change anything... those folks were just jerks... gay, straight or bi, they were jerks... dismiss them as such... that's all... Oh... I thought they went to California after they picked up Ben... remember the Carnivale trucks driving through the "camps", I thought those were the camps outside the town the minister lived in... and how Ben got mad at them for shanghai-ing him and taking him halfway across the country?... and there weren't any camps in Oklahoma back then, just out in California where all of the dust bowl folks went to... hmmmm At the HBO.com site, there's the show "summaries" (like 6er pointed out) there's also a message board with lots of interesting ideas and some links to interview sites, etc... ... confusion will be my epitath... MyseestorEx... I couldn't do them using the numbers on the top, I had to use the numbers over on the right side (the 10 key pad) and then I pressed and held alt, tapped the 3, let up on the alt... Or are you on a laptop that doesn't have a 10 key pad? ... confusion will be my epitath...

Johniam... thank you for your thoughts... The point of my question was that I'd hate to miss out on something just because of a prejudice, a prejudice that I probably wouldn't have if not for religion... I ask you this: imagine that there are a lot of folks around that do things that there can be found "don't do this" in the Bible, are you as openly prejudiced against them? Personally, I think I got a lot more out of the words to that song than you did... I guess it's how one looks at things... ... confusion will be my epitath...

I saw it... pretty much just an unrealistic shootemup to me... lots of blood and violence... I thought el Mirachi was better... ... confusion will be my epitath...

I've been watching... I think they were somewhere in the midwest when they picked up the kid (after he buried his mother)... now they're in California (most of the midwesterners who went out west during the dust bowl/depression were called "Okies")... I know it plods, but I'm going to take a chance and invest the time... SFU took a while to develop (even though they did wrap up each death within each show) and look how that turned out... so now, we know Ben (the kid) has special powers, the preacher seems to as well,they have some connection (the same dreams), Ben's mother was in the circus at one time, we know the top hat guy had something to do with the girl in the picture (Ben's mother), what about the army guy? and who is "the boss"?... it's just going to require some commitment, I hope it's worth it... and I couldn't help but think of TP as well with "the logman" (isn't that who he was? Garmanbozia?) ... confusion will be my epitath...

and the preacher said "can't we all just get along?" and the congregation said "amen" ya know... for a long time now I've thought that religion really does cause a lot of prejudice and hate in the world... I don't know if the thought started in my mind the first time I heard "Imagine" or at some other time, but... When I read some of the posts back and forth here, particularly between Trefor and Johniam, I want to ask myself and Johniam the question: is there any other reason that you are "prejudiced" about homosexuality other than your religious beliefs? ...I'd hate to think that I might miss a chance to meet and know a great individual (Trefor or others), or be shortchanged on the relationship just because of what religion told me... ... confusion will be my epitath...
