just wanted to check in and let you know we're OK here... (just got the family out of the bathroom, where we sought refuge, a while ago) All of the tornadoes went around us although we still are having high straight line winds (60-80 mph) and rain at 5-8 inches an hour...

Refiner, if you want to read some more discussion on this subject, look up the "adultry" and "abuse" threads in the 'About the Way' section... they should be somewhere there in the first 10 pages... there's a lot of back and forth, first hand accounts, veepee idolizers denying, etc...

Like WW says, it may mean that you gotta drop in a "JW" here and there because (especially in this section of threads called 'about the way') it will be assumed that you are speaking of TWI... just drop in an extra "JW" for reference and it will help with the understanding of where you're coming from... ...I haven't 'seen' anything yet that makes me not believe what you're saying, we're just a naturally skeptical group here... like WW said...

Way CofE, The Way College of Emporia: a former college campus bought by TWI as a root training location for The Way Corps. TWI 'members' were also given the chance to take some of the classes as Way CofE students. A two year degree was offered, though not recognized nor accredited by anyone outside of TWI. L.E.A.D. (aka LEAD): an 'outward bound' type of program. In the early days the corps in residence were required to hitch hike to and from the LEAD site. (from Emporia, Kansas to either Tinney, NM or Moab, UT)... They were given $10 when they started and were expected to return with $10. We were to 'believe God' for rides and food. LEAD is an acronym for Leadership, Education, Adventure and Direction. Reflections: the hair cutting/makup class taken by the corps in residence. Also the name of the department at root locales where folks got their haircut. Howard Allen: (HA) longtime cronie of veepee's. Past BOT/BOD member.
