thank you all very kindly for your kindness... I may be old but I'm not the oldest one here! see you at the BBQ...!
-
looks like a lot of his money is out of the country! I'm watching "Hot Stove" right now... have the DVR set to the Ken Burns thing, I've always liked that and can watch it at least once a year... I guess Giambi is going back to the bay area... but he might be chasing the dreams of his youth...
-
starman (and others) go HERE... ...you can type in your zip code and it tells you what channel it's on in your area here it's on 213 on DirecTV, 86 on FIOS and 198 on Time Warner here (I just looked and it's there! they're showing highlights from the world series, then it's "Red Sox memories" and then "hot stove"...
-
well I've got FIOS now... I'll have to try and figure out if/when they're getting it... I've got TVColumbia and TVAsia etc about 30 food channels and 30 sports channels and about 500 others that have other stuff... but I don't see one that says MLB... :(
-
I'm selfish... I want it to stay open cuz I've made some good friends here... but I spoze that I'll still be able to find a way to keep in touch with them if it closes down... ...but if you're gonna lock it down, give us a couple of days notice so those of us who like to talk baseball can figure out a different place to meet please... :)
-
Congrats to Theo... Tex would've been a perfect fit in Boston as far as his abilities are concerned... could play first and/or third just like that bald guy with a beard who sweats profusely :) ...but you wouldn't like his influence in the room... he'll fit right in with the other egos in NY... (not speaking of Jeter there)
-
geisha... please clarify which "money grubbing--title buying bastards" you're speaking of... the NYY or the BoSox! ...the nice thing is that there's always a Tampa Bay or Minnesota popping up and spoiling their party!
-
geez oh pete! how much money have the NYY spent since I was here last? ...and starman, why do you want a seat that your butt won't fit in?
-
agreed... they better not come home empty handed! ...but J.D. better come home with TT still "in the fold"...
-
sorry sweetniKa... you know that I love you very much, but I have to root for Mizzou tonight... I know that you'll understand in your heart of hearts... :) (but I still think your boys will win)
-
Hey, Theo. Jarrod Saltalamacchia apparently had two more Escogido home runs last night (one a grand slam), and two more walks.
-
a very happening day to you sweet lady...
-
hope you had a happening day!
-
A splendid time... thank you again to GSG and the Countess and all who made it happen! A few pics from my phone (didn't take the camera) Ex10 on the way to the BBQ: "Are you guys sure you know how to get there?" The man, the legend... "HOTSAX" TexasNurse and sweet niKa What's better than two wonderful ladies? Three! THE Countess!, TexasNurse and niKa Friday night: "when are y'all gonna let me sleep? there's a party tomorrow!" Dooj and eyes after a long day touring the Woodlands in a convertible...
-
hope it was a happening day dude! ...sorry I'm late...
-
very happy for you brother... very happy

I really really don't like that baseball is played in such cold weather... it's sacreligous I tell ya... whatever happened to those days when we took our transistor radios to school with the earplugs running up inside our shirts, hidden until they popped out to snake their ways to our ears? Lidge is looking pretty good...
-
yep... the rays have dug themselves a little hole here... the first three games were great... close... tight... then there was last night... I guess these Phillies are pretty good! I'm kinda getting the feeling that maybe the rays shot their wad in the ALCS... they just haven't really played like they were before... but Kasmir has got to have some good stuff tonight because it is pretty likely that Hammils (sp) will...
-
gutsy move... no other choice though I guess... hope Balfour doesn't walk one in... well... a chopper scores the run... I like these two managers though... and we've had some good games... I think Longoria kind of panicked there though... looking at the replay, it looks like if he would've just extended and flipped the ball after he was in foul territory, instead of trying to lob it over the runner, he might have had a chance... tough play though... the Phillies need Ryan Howard to wake up though... and the Rays Longoria
-
I don't know about you guys... but I'm thinking this Upton is pretty good... Nice job by Grandpa out on the mound tonight as well...
-
As far as Tex goes don't forget Baltimore... his home town team that he's been leaning towards forever... but the baseball anti-christ is his agent and his players tend to follow the money...
-
you may have Salty... and since the BoSox don't put names on their jerseys you won't be distracted by seeing his name go from "below pit to below pit"... send some pitching our way... I don't suppose you'll be offering up Lester like you did during the Arod deal...

Eight Men Out started about 20 minutes ago on Turner Classic Movies...
-
Theo... the catcher you want is in Texas... From Newberg today:
-
my opinion is that he probably, to this day, doesn't consider that he did anything wrong "in God's eyes" because he's convinced that he has far more "biblical understanding of the revelation" than anyone else... that and the fact that he's probably still on the gravy train... I'm thinking TWI pays (or would pay) quite well to make sure that he remains quietly in the background... or they'd lose what little grip they have left... ...and I don't really think a thread every now and then by someone wondering about him could be considered "fixating"... it's "just wondering"... :)
