Reverend2Ts, HegotHope and ShegotJohn... I'm on the way with a relief packages of Twinkies from the recently bankrupted bakery... (they really should be in every malpack since they keep forever)... ...what's all this about only dropping in every three weeks Reverend2Ts? why just look at mah postal numbers! ...the witch doctor on the corner (he studied with Madame Rue, you know the gypsy with the gold tattoo, she's got a shop down at 34th and Vine) told me I must quit sleeping here... so I've been sleeping elsewhere...

Tell it brother Socks! ...it's Amazing I tell ya! Sailor was one of my very first albums I ever owned while "Livin' in the U.S.A." (somebody get me a cheeseburger!)... know what I mean? ...and Boz's duet with Duane Allman on "Loan Me a Dime" is classic! I always followed those two homies work... although I do admit that I became disinterested in Boz as much when he started doing all that disco! (well, it might as well have been disco anyway)

well guys... what did you think of the finale? It was a very strange season... but that episode did tie it all together very well... while opening up different possibilities for next season...

Great list starman! I love books by Thomas Boswell... especially "Why Time Begins on Opening Day"... you guys ought to read it if you haven't already... you can probably find it used somewhere... he has others as well... same great style, great stories... your youth will come flooding back to you! another reason: the names of the positions don't change in baseball.

stRangers are fading... but all hope is not lost... sorry I haven't checked in lately but... ya know... I'm still getting all tingle-ly inside when thinking about the Yanks getting clobbered by the Indians!!! (sorry Hills, couldn't resist) ...on a side note, what's with all of these hot Russian tennis players all of a sudden? ...being good I mean...
-
well alaminkee maybe they've changed their ways (hopefully)... when she played here the guitar players stepped all over her and her piano... and one of them was waaaaay over emoting... glad you enjoyed it, she does seem like a very nice human girl...

we saw her last year here (in her "home town")... loved her (she was Amazing) but didn't care too much for her band...
-
A toast to us all! ...we are the limb with a few leaves left on it... (unlike those slackers in the other corps)... HegotHope and ShegotJohn, have you had enough rain yet?

OM said: Veepee said that what we had hadn't been known since the first century... didn't he? ...even if it was that he would teach it, show it to us, like it hadn't been since the first century... at the very least that alludes to we have it and no one else doesAnd as for knowing that "it was a compilation"... well, I didn't know that until after I was gone...

Music Concerts: How Much Will You Pay?
Tom Strange replied to Nottawayfer's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
I know what you guys are talking about... and believe me, if I could've seen S&G at a small, intimate venue I would have much rather preferred that! Yeah wayfer! that's each... Krys, if you want to try to beat the scalpers and re-sellers, subscribe to Ticketmaster's All Access... they send out emails with upcoming events and you also get to take advantage of internet "pre-sales" where you get a chance to buy the tickets a day or two ahead of when they go on sale to the general public... ...if you want to! -
Our thanks to dictionary.com: "We sat on the stoop overlooking the kill having olicooks and coffee."
-
why do they call it a "stoop"? in the south (at least where I come from) we always have called it a "porch"... I don't understand Demi... why you do this?

Music Concerts: How Much Will You Pay?
Tom Strange replied to Nottawayfer's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
They are way out there now aren't they? I remember back in the early 70's and $10 to $15 was the top ticket price... saw about two shows a week... oh well... then I found "The Way" :)--> I June, I took the boys to see Rush and paid $75 per (these were not the highest priced tickets)... In July, the wife and I paid $250 per for 12th row at Simon and Garfunkel and worth every penny of it... but I'm guessing that's my ceiling, and only for a "once in a lifetime" show... (I'd probably pay that for McCartney if he comes around again)... I'm pretty much concerted out... -
simonbarsinister... thou must needs apologize to J.J. as well... Hey... where is fellowship tonight? Is Reverend2Ts sharing from the holy screepture? Shall I bring cupcakes?
