It's not too far from there Danyoucannotsee... within 5 minutes by car... and the Anatole (and all of the other larger hotels in town) are totally dead the week of Thanksgiving so they get good deals... P&J and both kids are going...

It's this week I think... at least I'm thinking that's why P&J AND the kids are coming here... why they're even going to grace us with their presence on Sunday at dinner... I still can't decide if I'm going to go or not... don't really think I could contain myself and that would kind of "bring the whole mood down" for the family...

for the lcd on my laptop... I spray a little of my glasses cleaner (just mixed up rubbing alcohol and water) on a soft towel, kind of puff it up (so it's still soft) and gently wipe it... while it's off... so far haven't caused any hot spots... but the best thing I know of is... don't touch it...

I'll be rootin' for the BoSox in this one... but I don't think either team can take St Louis in a 7 game series... I think the trophy stays in the NL for another year...

ah yes... here we are back at our annual meeting between the evil empire and the cur-sed sox... it should be quite interesting this year (again)... that dillweed Arod finally got a couple of clutch hits, but don't start expecting it on a regular basis Hillsbro... I of course will be rooting for the BoSox as I have lived in that area before and mostly because I will never root for the empire! ...the poor old angels shot all their bullets at Oakland and the stRangers methinks... On the other hand we have the lads from Houston taking on one of the finest teams assembled in quite some time led by what should eventually turn out to be one of the best players of all time (back off, I said eventually) and skipped by one of the best managers of all time... ...and I think the boys from St Louis will win it all this year... of course I could be wrong, but it feels right... ...did you guys see that graphic the other night about Pujols? ...only he, DiMaggio and Williams have ever had 500 RBI in their first four years... pretty good company... ...and who is going to put up with Milton next year? ...any takers? ...what a sweet time of year!

that's okay my niKa... I like the present sooners much better than the present horns... because I think Stoops is a good human man... the talk down here is that m brown is not such a fine human man and coddles his boys and that they always get uptight and freak when they play the soonies... it's hard to argue with, they seem to do OK otherwise... ourseestorEx's little mac likes him some longhorn though... although I think it is just the insignia he likes moreso than the actual team... how are you all mahpeepull? ...I am apologetic for not stopping by this past little while... glad to hear everything worked out so well with the young shipper, so much so that the old dude just left the hemisphere... now, if it would just stop raining here... I'm with Radar on this... and I have no opinion on the debates because I didn't watch them, nor will I... these things are nothing more than extended political campaign ads... and I get enough of that foisted upon me as it is... thank God for TIVO!

I didn't count either... but... after being "out" for over 20 years I'd bet you dollars to donuts that I could probably go into a session today and within 30 minutes be able to "mouth" the words along with veepee... not soumething I'm really proud of mind you...

My laptop is about six months old now (with McAfee, AdAware and Spybot)... I recently did the SP2 download and install and have had no problems... everything seems to run just fine (no noticable slowing) although I do 'allow' certain websites to have pop ups... It seems that just prior to installing SP2 I was getting bombarded with spyware at a greater pace than usual... but that was probably a coincidence... I've not had any problems since... but maybe I'm just lucky...

Putting in a call to the mothership shipper... niKa... be there any teevees at the pad yet? (ones that are plugged in?) We are nigh upon "the fall classic" "the red river shootout" and how will you be able to root for your boys most perfectly without seeing them? or are you coming down my way? (if you are let me know and we can meet at IHOP!) well my stRangers do the impossible and sweep the big three that Oakland rolled out there... it was an electric time here in the land of the mechanical bull... ...and then they go and lose two out of three to the Mariners! ...oh well... we still love 'em... Buck used his 30th pitcher today, a new record... he was saving Drese so's we could have Drese, Rogers and Park against the hated Angels... (Park has been amazingly 'not too shabby' since his return from the minors)... Now the Angels just beat the A's again! so it's Angels one behind and stRangers two behind... there's still hope! (not much thanks to the knuckleheads in our bullpen)... there's still hope!
