I gotta agree on those two things... SE Houston air "quality" does not exist and driving through Monterrey surely is the finest example of purgatory that exists... did it at 5 pm (rushour) on a 10 lane street (5 each way) although there were no lines painted on the road anywhere, not even in the middle, in a little rental nissan that's not sold here eye to eye with the giant tires of the trucks that have headlights held on by coat hangers... but the drive up to Satillo was beautiful... P-Man, if you're working over the net, try to live in the hill country and "net-commute"... God's country it is...

Green Acres... the greatest TV show, of any genre... EVER! ...and chatting Kathy, that tune was written by Vic Mizzy... And K Pax was an amazing movie... and we always wondered "real" or "not"... but the questions it brought up about how we treat each other as fellow humans really made it an especially touching movie for me... pitch counts for kids? the surgeon on the program (he's the Red's doctor) suggested pretty firmly that "6 times the kids age" is a good limit... so keep an eye on young Simon Junior and his tell the other kids dads... my brother was scouted through high school... was a great pitcher... and then a high school coach ended it for him... it wasn't his elbow, it was his shoulder, and the coach kept making him throw to "work it out"... the continued "work" ended his dreams... and he was good...

I don't know what the solution is or will be, but I'd go for more stringent testing and education with the youth and amateurs... ANY positive tests and you're out. Period. The Pros can afford to beat the tests, the amateurs can't. That's part of my point I think... education and testing, lots more of it, on the youth and amateur levels... and FEAR... put the fear that they'll never be able to compete in their sport again in them... at least until they're pro... I'm no expert, not hardly, but it would be a better than we have now... people looking the other way... and there should be some repurcussions for the coaches who turn a blind eye... for the sake of winning
