Belle! get yourself a pair of those earbuds for $1.99 down at the WalMart... plug them into your computer and listen to whatever you want!
-
It was 'Max Frost and the Troopers' wasn't it? I had it on the soundtrack album to... 'Wild in the Streets' (never trust anyone over 30)
-
Yeah... I did Bluze... I've heard it before... ...but you know Belle... her heart is so big all she saw when she read the name "Snuckles" was this:

I love that Karmic... LG... I guess we'll just have to disagree here... I promoted "state your case/cause/belief and leave others out of it"... they stated their case/cause/belief and also made statements about others... so I guess we'll just disagree... I don't see it... visualize whirrlled peas

Bishop Spong Tells Religious "Progressives" to Stick It to Conservatives
Tom Strange replied to markomalley's topic in Open
what's in the picture? give me a ball of mud for mine eyes... -
well I guess I missed the point of the original story... I didn't have any of the thoughts or reactions that you guys are describing, and I see the point in your other stories as well Belle... I merely thought that in this one instance, that it was a bit extreme, understandable on his side to a point as well, but extreme... Say La Vee...

It was guessed here recently (incorrectly then)...

The principal actors in this movie were so 'taken' after having seen the play of the same name, that 'they' (I've heard) bought the movie rights and made sure that it got done and that 'they' were in it... those principal actors???? Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Chaz Palminteri and Garry Shandling... So see the movie... it's a kind of "snippet of time" thing but the acting is ferocious... and you get to see Meg Ryan as a coke fiend hooker... (I think she was a hooker, maybe she was just loose)... so I'll change it to: Mulholland Falls Chaz Palminteri The Usual Suspects Shirley, you've seen that!

I wish I could hang sheetrock! really I do... but the old back won't allow it... I'm like that Mel Brooks character... what was his name? Count de Money?
-
HUH? LG, are you responding to my post? to me they both sound offensive, did I miss something somewhere? I said I believe you can state your case/beliefs without making comments about others... I don't think anywhere did I state or infer what you're saying LG... unless you're not addressing me...

I think the PD will be pretty vague as they try to distance themselves from this incident... and I think the little old lady will get lots of press... (as she should, I believe) Lately there's been a rash of "home searches" here by uniformed people with police cars bought from the auctions... There's no way the PD can make this stand up if she did in fact call 911 and then come back after verification... the ACLU and a litany of other groups will be all over this like stink on you know what...

well brotherLingo I'll bite... you could say all those things about Jesus, and top it off with "this is what I believe to be the truth", etc WITHOUT adding (or inferring) "anyone who believes differently is a freaking moron" You can express your opinions without casting any aspersions upon anyone else or degrading them... know what I mean? That's how you can do it...

I don't think so... even though there are a lot of fans that don't like his "I won't play the outfield" attitude, or his lack of concentration on routine plays (he makes the spectacular look routine the routine look difficult), or his lack of hustle when admiring a hit... I wouldn't trade him... the extra inning win the other night was pretty much manufactured by him... got a hit, stole second and third, then scored... in the bottom of the inning a routine grounder "through the wickets"... All in all, he is a valuable commodity, BUT he's not "a BUCK GUY" and that, coupled with the fact that they don't want to pay him what he's bound to get on his next contract... mean that they trade for pitching and prospects... Hopefully, they'll be rough on whoever ends up trading with them... they are in a position of power with him as the bait... ...but I'd hate to see him go... I just wish he'd accept a shift to center field... I can see his point though, he keeps going to the All Star game at second so why switch? but he'd kill in centerfield with that speed...

Here's a link that talks about all of the Soriano to the Mets rumors...

So the Yankees get Chacon (1-7, 4.09 era) and sign Nomo to a minor league deal? I would've thought they would be in the AJ Burnett hunt... after all he knows how to pitch in Yankee Stadium :D--> Of course, they've got nobody to give the Marlins back except high priced guys... the farm's still barren... oh well... too bad, so sad!

I am sooo there dude!
-
ahhh baseball... last night against the O's an extra inning game, over 25 men left on base and double digit scoring... tonight, 2 to 1... and the stRangers win both!

And I guess I'll take this one: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Next (two clues): "I wrestled with reality for 35 years, doctor, and I'm happy. I finaly won out over it." "In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. And you may quote me."

OK... I'll go then... Mulholland Falls Chaz Palminteri Hurlyburly

Do they have yellow water in France?

we used to think that we had three owners that were great... not necessarily 'likable' but not afraid to spend money and do what it takes to win a championship... now we're definitely down to two... and unfortunately the third one (Hicks) owns two teams... all he cares about is "is the team making money"... which isn't so unusual I guess, but he actually goes on TV/Radio and says it openly... he says things like "if we exceed 3 million at the ballpark, we'll spend some more money"... now remember, the stRangers make in the neighborhood of $56 million a year before they've sold ticket number one... yet he wants them to have a budget smaller than the Twins'... He tried to play with the big boys for a while, but did so stupidly... he spent with them but didn't spend wisely (see ARod, Chan Ho, Darren Oliver, etc) and now they back out of everything... Here's an unbelievable (but sadly true) quote from Hicks last Sunday with a local sportscaster. Hicks was being asked again about if they were going to try and do something this year or next to help 'get there'... Hicks: "Well, we're not going to go out and spend a lot of money to bring people in here. We tried that with the Stars and unfortunately we won the Stanley cup"... They always draw 2.5 mil plus. IF THEY'D PUT A ROOF ON THE DANG PLACE AND AIR CONDITION IT, THEY'D GO WAY OVER 3 MIL A YEAR... EASY. And... an added benefit would be that pitchers wouldn't mind coming here...

right there with you on Jennifer Connelly!... an angel...

here's a snowcone for you Belle... they go well with anything!
