to retrieve the message just go to the top right hand corner where it says "# new messages" (# being the number of new messages you have), click on it, this will take you to your private message area and then you can click on the message and see it alone on your screen... and (I think) I know where you're coming from... but it's been my experience that unless you just 'resign' yourself to let them do as they wish and not think at all about what you think is best... it will just lead to further anxiety on your part...

ahhh... once again I find myself on the same page with my brother from the sock drawer... (such a warm and cuddly feeling it is)... now... young hopper! see, if you'd just done things this way you wouldn't be a copout now! (that'll learn ya!) I guess you could call it "legalism" if you want to... I really think that it's just a continuation of a mindset that they want the "followers of the way" to perpetually inhabit: "let us do the thinking for you" I also think it's TWI not wanting to deal with all of those last minute screw ups that missed one or two things and therefore cannot attend (give more money) and minimize the number of folks that they'll have to 'let slide' or 'turn away' because they didn't do a, b or c... thus avoiding the charges of favoritism or legalism that would be associated should they have to actually 'make a call'... they just want to keep it all smoothly running doncha know! ...besides... this is all a part of "prevailing"... there's no more souls to win, just souls to tend...

I've been in this situation before and (alas) will be in it again at some point... I agree with both Raf and OM (looks around for lightning)... Regardless of how "we" feel... it's not "our" concern... no matter how well intentioned...

I know this may be an unpopular question... (not opinion - question)... but do you ever wonder what kind of leader / person LCM might have been had he not been turned to the dark side? Unlike veepee, I don't think he set out 'on purpose' to become who he did... like many, he was I think he was led down that path and shown the way... and then applied his considerable energy to it... the dark side...

the good old days of a player staying with a team are gone it seems... except in the rarest of cases... and really, who can blame them? ...they have a chance to make a 'gozillion' dollars only once (sometimes twice, even rarer, thrice)... they're still living out their dreams, playing in the big leagues... they're only human (well, maybe not Teddy Baseball) and I really think most of them mean it when they say "they'll never leave"... of course... we're hoping that Tex stays with us his whole career but who knows? (he's got the baseball anti-christ for his agent)... a couple of years ago we were saying the same thing about Blalock... we still love him dearly... but not so much that we won't bid him farewell if he can bring us an ace pitcher... ...saw in the paper today where Buck said "I think our guys are ready to take the next step: playing in October. Simple as that." A sure sign that Spring training is upon us...

i've had the naked dream... but mostly I dream I can fly... I think it's just because I've always thought it would be neat to be able to fly...

HegotHope, I've loved GoogleEarth for months now... well, love may be a strong word... but I've liked it a whole bunch... I use it when I'm getting ready to travel someplace, business or pleasure, so that I'll be more familiar with the surroundings... I also use it just to look up places... just the other day I was looking at Turino, Italy to see what the town looks like without the olympics there... pretty neat... I looked in on Rome/the Vatican the other day... someone has gone in there and labled the places from 'The DaVinci Code'...

I don't know sweetniKa... there was a guy around here named Dale I think... yeah, Dale Neenyo... lessee... it was 85 on Thursday afternoon... I'm guessing we'll be warm again by next Thursday... just take a little space heater out to your plants! :)
