so... there was no golf this weekend... seestorniKa... it's been raining here since Friday night... we have had 7" in our part of the DFW area... others have had more... and there's another huge 'cell' on the way... we took the boy to Love field today to catch a flight, at least we tried to... many flooded streets, stranded cars... we drove through many (no choice) where the water was over the bumper and at the mid grill point... there's lot's of flooding everywhere... check on your family down here niKa... the weatherman just said "the sun'll come up tomorrow"... ha ha... it's supposed to stop raining in the morning... as for me and mine... we're building an ark (anyone know how big a cubit is?)

OK... here's one for verbal... and I'll give you two stanzas... They were burning all the flares for candles In the banquet they were throwing in first class And we were blowing waltzes in the ballroom When the Universe went CRASH! "There's no way that this could happen." I could hear the old Captain curse He ordered lifeboats away, that when I heard the Chaplain say," women, and Children, and Chaplains first."

hmmm... sounds like a possibility! the only cult she's ever been in was the JWs.... but she's always wondered about the one I was in... Heck... even back in the mid 70's we only met with Dallas about once a quarter... but we were friends with many of them and saw them more often... or so it seemed!

United States Eliminated in World Baseball Classic
Tom Strange replied to Mark Sanguinetti's topic in Sports
well... since this is very thinly disguised as a sports topic... why would W invite a team from a foreign country to the white house? He (and the other Presidents) only invite teams from the good old U S of A... so what is the point of your question again? -
my bracket is perfect so far! ...of course, I'm filling it out as we go along...

Mike… I won’t even begin to discuss so many of the things you blurted out, but I will respond to a few: That’s one of the reasons you’ve lost (past tense) any credibility you might have ever had. Then why do YOU cite private conversations? Where do you keep them? Could you please post a picture of said stone tablets? “Be Prepared” is the motto of the Boy Scouts. The Way Corps motto was not referring to PFAL. Your opinion Mike. Some of us believe that it was the end result of decades of plaigerism. I apologize, I forgot that you had developed the ability to presume know what I meant to say. This evidently is something you’ve learned by experience. (hands over ears) NA NA NA I can’t hear you NA NA NA C’mon Mike, it’s a “discussion” board, not a “lecture” board.

feelowsleeper... 'you're going tomorrow'? does that mean you're there now? ...cuz isn't it tomorrow where you are when it's today here? re: 'the older lady in NW Dallas'... was that Grace Bl!ss' daughter? She was there in the mid 70's... niKa... are you getting as much rain as we are?

Mike (not a bad job of 'winging it'... with all due respect... to me it just sounds like you're taking veepee's written works going through them and deciding that "this one is" and "this one isn't" and then deciding "from this point to this point it all is" and then go back to choosing again... at least I think that's what you're saying up there... which is fine, it's your opinion... unless you've got some stone tablets that you brought down from a mountaintop or something... Mike... tsk tsk... come on now... keep it above the belt... no one is flipping your posts around and showing where you used poor grammar or mis-spelled words... none of us has a last name of "Webster" ...at least I don't think so...

Weren't we required to take the Kansas Safe Hunter course so that we could be considered "paramilitary" by the nay sayers?
-
yeah... funny how that works isn't it?

it appears that maybe she did start the celebration a little early tonto... that or she was speaking to feelowsleeper down under where it might've already been saint paddy's day...

Mike... it's OK... they're your opinions and you believe them... there's nothing at all wrong with that... I think part of what confuses me when you're posting your opinions Mike, is that you "switch back and forth from different sources. I would think it might be easier to follow if when you're trying to convince us of your argument that "PFAL is God-breathed", that you use the one "God-breathed" source to help prove that. It doesn't make sense (to me) to use sources that aren't "God-breathed" because how could you prove they were true? dmiller's opinion, your opinion... opinions are OK... everyone's got one, right? I never, ever heard or read where veepee said to elevate PFAL over the KJV or the Bible. I often heard and read where he said PFAL was to be used (a tool) to help understand the Bible or KJV. But if that's your opinion... I've heard and read veepee tell us to focus on the Bible (not just the KJV but many translations/versions). The rest of that part is your opinion... but I would gather, that IF veepee put together PFAL as a tool to "unlocking the Bible" then IF he "urged us to focus on PFAL" it might be so that we could get more out of the Bible. But that's just my opinion... IF he said that, I don't think you can imply that he meant for you to "study PFAL above all else". But that's your opinion...that's OK. Mike, it's OK if it's your opinion (because that's what it is, your opinion). It's a free country. Oh... and dooj's analogy with the hammer/chisel/coconut was a good one, there were tools and there was food. Your analogy was a nice try, but not the same comparison. You took food that could be used as a tool and compared it... a different thing all together.
