well... I wasn't around yesterday and I think some missed my points entirely but posting responses to all of these things would now be untimely... I would like to AGAIN restate though... All I am saying is... IF you believe there is TRUTH in PFAL, and you had that available to you, for you to use, why wouldn't you just (as was suggested way back in the beginning of this thread) TEACH IT (THE TRUTH) YOURSELF AND LEAVE veepee AND HIS 'ASIDE RANTS' OUT OF IT? And that has absolutely nothing to do with Truth being changed to unTruth or saying that Truth is not Truth because veepee taught it... which I (nor do I think any others) never said.

We have a 90 pound American Bulldog. Sweet isn't she? And the nicest 'little' doggie you could imagine... BUT she farts all of the time! (well, quite often anyway)... Some are SBD's... others (about half) are audible and sometimes last for 2 or 3 seconds! I'm not kidding... but she is SWEET... though her 'fragrence' doesn't always match her disposition!

well... I'll tell you right up front rickyg, I question anything I've ever learned from TWI... It may be true, but until I can get some other definitive source (that I trust) telling me the same thing... I'll doubt it. I have no faith in anything I learned in TWI because so much of what was taught was bent to the personal ideologies of veepee and then to LCM and now to RR... If they were presented with research that didn't fit 'what they wanted' they disregarded it or sliced it up so that it did fit...

Dave, my responses in bold: WD: And (again) I'll point out that no one has said that "truth becomes untruth"... but that so much of veepee's personal agenda is woven into PFAL, amongst the truths that are taught... that the effect is that people tended (and tend) to take veepee's personal aganda as 'truth' as well... and I'm pretty sure that's what everyone else has been saying as well. If you want a good Bible class... keys to unlocking the scriptures... life more than abundant... then why not just teach the PFAL stuff that deal with that and skip the rest? You'll have a class that's at least half as long IMO...

two different meetings at two different times... and add to that the fact that neither Jonny nor Soques (colonial spelling) saw a gun... but you do also have to add that CG was a freakin' paranoid loony and made no secret about the fact that he carried a gun... all that being said... we have the meeting Radar was talking about that was bizarre to say the least and we have the clergy meeting that was also bizarre yet no one knows (for sure) whether or not CG was armed or not... (my personal bet would be that he was but I don't know if he 'brandished' or not)... so until we hear from someone who was there, who did see it... we can assume that he didn't... but given the nature of the times and the meeting... does it really matter? to me, whether or not a gun was at the clergy meeting is small potatoes...

I think they covered their aces with the smaller type disclaimer... but they didn't remove the GIANT red letters did they? I think it should play itself too.. but you could probably buy one of those cheaper as well... Worth is (sometimes) in the eye of the beholder...

but what if I "don't know" and am just guessing (as is the case here)... am I supposed to not guess but ask something like "was it a movie about a gangster starring Marlon Brando?" or "was it a satirical comedy about a gangster starring Michael Keaton?" instead of saying the names? ...so that whoever gave the clue will have to guess what I'm guessing?

well... I don't know about that... where I remember first hearing it was around the time that he was going to 'pass the mantle' to LCM... that being that now LCM would be THE man of God. You're quite right Galen in that there are many men and women of God... but I always heard the emphasis on the THE... that it was "where the buck stopped" ...and veepee set himself up like that many many times... and by his comments about LCM becoming THE man of God he was inferring that HE was it before and until then... but big deal... it's all 'puffed up' stuff if you ask me... sort of 'pride goeth before the fall' kind of stuff...
