  1. Is there a string attached to that ball dave? It looks like it keeps coming back! ...which may also be the point you were trying to make...
  2. dmiller, when just about any car get's hit by an SUV or one of the larger trucks... it's curtains... but those little mini's have a five star rating with side curtain airbags... just don't wrek with anything too big! BTW, take one for a test drive... they're like driving a go kart!
  3. It's not toooo bad chas! Is this really your first? My answer:
  4. I thought this thread did the horrible death it deserved! I'm about to ralph just being in the vicinity! (except for Bull Durham, of course)
  5. no grants or scholarships avail for the ivy league schools?

  7. Have you ever driven any of their cars overseas Galen?
  8. I don't think he takes it that way... but I'm sure he'll tell you... We got a CG from Millwood tonight, the first one for the team this season. 8-2 (two solo HRs)... I think he appreciates the run support he's been getting here (although not the blown saves)... but Otsuka is 5/5 since taking over that role and Cordero is working things out...
  9. I wonder what their signing bonuses were? ...I just might go pro!
  10. oh dave dave dave... you live such a sheltered life up there in Minniesoda... this is why it's called Roquefort Dressing: Courtesy of dictionary.com: Roque·fort ( P ) Pronunciation Key (rkfrt) A trademark for a soft cheese made from sheep's milk and ripened in caves near Roquefort, France.
  11. well... after our pitchers duel last night it's 8-0 stRangers going into the bottom of the fifth... so we started out 2-7 and have gone 14-5 since... we'll take it and be happy about it... as soon as we're done with this two game deal with the O's we have 10 out of the next 13 against the Yanks and the BoSox... we'll see what we're made of then... maybe this will be the year they don't go into the series intimidated... watch on sportscenter tonight for Wilkerson crashing into the out of town scoreboard to catch a fly and laying on the ground trying to get his senses back... meanwhile, Cory Patterson is literally wandering back and forth between first and second, never tagging up, and finally Matthews goes over to Wilkerson and gets the ball and throws it in and they tag Patterson out... quite bizarre... umm what was the first base coach doing in all of this?
  12. only 25? that seems low... :) good for her!
  13. allan... that 95%... is that just a 'ballpark figure'?
  14. oooh! Charles Chips! good one karmic! I like those...
  15. ...if it's country I just have to 'watch from the sidelines'... but that's OK! That sounds like one of those songs from the long gone days of my youth Chas... Kind of like 'the ballad of the Alamo' or 'the ballad of Davy Crockett'... (but I know it's not them) ...I kind of can hear it in my head though...
  16. well... I was gonna say it was George's turn! Bring it on doojie!!!
  17. Happening Day to your son Pi man! (and to you as well) So... update us... how long is the list of "cream of the crop" colleges now? Any hint as to which way he's leaning?
  18. oh yeah... now I get it! wow gc, you're a natural at this!
  19. Mike, what did I "do" to deserve/provoke your nasty and insipid post towards me a few pages ago? Nothing. And you would be wrong in your conclusion. This is just an example, another example, of you making a statement and when questioned about it, telling the questioner to 'go find it' rather than just answering it as anyone truly interested in constructive discourse would. Mike, you're never going to get anyone to listen to you, much less take you seriously, until you quit behaving like you do. Do you really think "everyone" is against you? There are plenty who have come and gone and unless they completely agree with you and do not question anything you treat them like krap. Of course, it is only an assumption on my part that you would treat those that agree with you completely and do not ask questions with respect and dignity since there haven't been any of those folks here. Where are these "others" you speak of that agree with you? I'm sure they would be treated with dignity and respect by all of us AS WOULD YOU if they treated us likewise. YOU have always been the one to attack, demean and abase people as soon as they merely ask a legitimate question. The only reason you have ever had any harsh or unkind words thrown you way is because folks have responded IN KIND to you. If you don't want sh1t thrown your way, don't throw it at others. Again, Mike, it's not your message that makes you the target, it's the messenger (YOU). Many folks, myself included, have been more than happy to 'listen to' your message... but we will have questions... does a good "teacher" not expect, prepare for and encourage questions? Yes, they do. They anticipate them... and if their subject matter is worthy of belief they have answers to those questions. If all teachers were like you no one would ever make it out of kindergarten... and it wouldn't be the student's fault.
  20. Nice game in stRangerland tonight... walk off by DeRosa in the bottom of the twelfth for a (are you ready?) 2-1 win over the Orioles... I love these kind of games... I live in the wrong town for them though...!
  21. Why bother... responses to the arrogant SOB in bold:
