I watched the U.S.A. vs Czech until I fell asleep... at least someone scored...

I don't know Rick... could be... I went and read the comments/reviews of "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" and it could be... I just thought it was from earlier in my youth... I no doubt saw TADP at the drive in since it came out in 1970 (I would've been 16) but I thought it was earlier... either way it made an impression, the scene I'm talking about is one where this guy picks up a pair of binoculars to look at something (a woman?) out the window and as he puts them to his eyes, springloaded spikes/nails pop out of the lenses... ...On another note, the two best sit-coms ever were "Green Acres" and "F-Troop"... IMHO (sorry for the off topicness)

well... since I can only read and glean regarding the guitar... the only two movies that I can remember effecting me that much in a scary way were "Invaders from Mars" and "Them"... (Danny, did they use the Theramin to make the ant noises?)... and then there was this one Vincent Price movie where the guy puts the binoculars up to his eyes and.... !

oh well starman... almost a sweep, but we'll take another series win... they add up you know... I almost thought we'd win that first one on Sunday, but the old fastball down the middle didn't fool Papi... you serve up that kind of meat and you deserve to lose with a walk off... oh well... what's up with those Dodgers? They too have put together a nice little last month or so... ...but I have to admit I've been watching the Mavs instead of the stRangers when they're on opposite each other!

yeah Garth... I remembet Tilton... I think he was doing business around here somewhere until some of those 'investigative journalists' found all of the prayer requests (that accompanied the money) in the dumpsters out back... if I'm not mistaken, I think he's up and running again...

You're right Oen, Avery is a unique human... a genuinely nice guy who is a natural born leader... he'd probably be an evangelist if he wasn't an NBA coach... and he's got a heart as big as you know what... he's got the team caring about each other as humans first and it doesn't hurt that Cuban and the Nelsons put some really talented, selfless people together for him to coach, who believe in themselves, him and that they are on a mission... The Mavs went through some really dark years in the 90's and they've been back and pretty good for the last 5... but I don't know if the Heat can hang with them... I know that's easy to say when you're up 2-0, but a lot of folks around here think that the Mavs have already beaten two other teams that are better than the Heat (Spurs and Suns)... I'm hesitant to use the word that's associated with a broom but I really find it hard to see this going more than 5 games if it goes that far... The Mavs have too much depth, they've used a 10 man rotation through these whole playoffs, and everyone coming off of their bench can score and contribute... Like I said, we (Mav's fans) have long realized that we're pretty lucky to have the guys on this (and recent past) team that we have... you never hear anything bad about them... they're all pretty good guys who realize that they're very fortunate to do what they do for a living and get paid very well for it... Sorry to go on and on about them but these are good guys and we fans have waited a long time for this... so we're very happy... very happy... Lindzee, go ahead and root for us! Even you can't jinx this!
