Cow From Illinois The only cow in a small Kentucky town stopped giving milk. The people did some research and found that they could buy a cow just across the state line in Illinois for $200. They brought the cow from Illinois and the cow was wonderful. It produced lots of milk all of the time, and the people were very happy. They decided to acquire a bull to mate with the cow to produce more cows like it. They would never have to worry about their milk supply again. They bought the bull and put it in the pasture with their beloved cow. However, whenever the bull tried to mount the cow, the cow would move away. No matter what approach the bull tried, the cow would move away from the bull and he could not succeed in his quest. The people were very upset and decided to ask the Vet, who was very wise, what to do. They told the Vet what was happening. "Whenever the bull tries to mount our cow, she moves away. If he approaches from the back, she moves forward. When he approaches her from the front, she backs off. An attempt from the side, she walks away to the other side." The Vet thought about this for a minute and asked, "Did you by chance, buy this cow in Illinois?" The people were dumbfounded, since no one had ever mentioned where they bought the cow. "You are truly a wise Vet," they said. "How did you know we got the cow in Illinois?" The Vet replied with a distant look in his eye, "My wife is from Illinois."

While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it.

Ca... sometimes if you're picking a .tif or .gif file it won't allow those kind... and sometimes the website you're getting them from won't let you use them... use .jpg images when you try again, and remember to click on the image in the google search, then the link to the image at the top of the next page and then (finally) right click that image and copy the properties...

yeah... many around here think that Blalock hasn't been the same since "the derby"... totally screwed with his head, his approach and his swing... he hasn't had the same power numbers since... ...we're all right (so to speak) as we enter the second half... a lot of folks are looking for us to be a lot stronger offensively since Rudy Jarimillo was out with the cancer surgery for ST and most of the first half... and if our pitching can just hold up and Eaton give us some good starts! ...ever the optimists we are...

wow... Siskel and Roper just poo-pooed it... (more or less) I hear good, I hear bad... it's got to have something to do with what one expects going in... I don't expect it to be a realistic movie, heck, it's Superman... I expect a good vs evil storyline and I don't expect everything to tie together perfectly... after all... it's a fantasy, not realism...

What bugs me more than profanity is the way a lot of kids talk these days... how they think they're so cool because they butcher the English language and sound 'thuggy'...

...that's so funny Galen... but sadly twas true...

hey... looky there... Soriano and Beltran on the NL starting squad! I share your disappointment in that Teixeira isn't on the AL squad but his HRs are down and you can't really argue with Papi's production at the plate... Watching the stRangers and lAstros play for the "Silver Boot" as we speak...
-
Whether they "really" talked like that or not doesn't bother me at all... seriously, I find myself sort of glossing over the profanity and listening to all of the other wonderful words they speak... sometimes even pausing, rewinding and listening to the dialogue again... to get hung up on the "bad" language is missing the bigger picture painted with the wonderful acting and dialogue... but to each his or her own. Lingo, as you're catching up on "Lost" play along on all of the internet games they have... they've really taken a multi-media saturation approach... fake books (or at least a book written by an author just before he went down on the flight that sell on Amazon and in bookstores), fake websites, fake commercials... all sorts of stuff that make being a fan of the show fun...
-
I'll give you the answer in five words: "chicks dig the long ball" Their low baseball IQ is forgiven because of the offense they bring, I don't know much about Beltran but Soriano I do know... and he gets away with that stuff because of his offense... I guess the owners and GMs are betting that over the course of a season their offensive output will outweigh their defensive deficiencies... GMJ is coming into his own this year I think... perhaps Coco as well... we're fortunate to get to watch them so often...

...oh, and I agree as well with the team ballet concept... and that's one reason that I can't help but be a big fan of Jeter's... he just seems like the ultimate team player... and that play he made at the plate that's getting played on the gatorade commercials, that's a great example...

Seems everybody wants ARod until they get him... after a couple of years of meaningless stats and clubhouse cancer... not so much... Maybe it's different with the Yankees in that they have a lot of other stronger personalities around that can keep the cancer part in check though that wasn't the case in Texas... Anybody see the amazing play that Gary Matthews Jr made tonight? The guys having a very good year...and he seems like a good guy as well...

c'mon dreamer! (in Adam Sandler voice) "You can do it!" I use Google image search, if I can do it anyone can!

If I recall correctly hiway, that Yankees team that was so successful was put together under the direction (or at least with major input) of Mr. Showalter... as were the D'backs ...and now the stRangers... (we can only hope they win before they tire of him)... I do really admire the Twinkies and the Marlin though... the Twinkies seem to always be "in contention" and the Marlin tear down their entire team every time they win a WS and then build it back up... Scouting, Coaching and Talent... but it sure doesn't help to have a wad (or wads) of cash... but I do think there's something to the premise of the article (and the argument)... GS spending so much all of the time does force the hand somewhat of those that have money as well... Hicks is just such a jerk though, I wish he'd let someone buy his team, he wants a payroll of $70-$80 million max because other teams do it that way... but they're small market... I've heard that if he doesn't sell one ticket he breaks even somewhere around $70 million from all of the revenue sharing and TV/Radio deals and ads... I realize it's a business but the folks around here are tired of him talking about whether they made money or not rather than whether they won or not... that's hard to take when two of the owners in town are Cuban and Jones, win at all costs kind of guys...

Oak, are you sure they're EX Way??? I wouldn't know if I ran into any or not... it's not like they wear around T-shirts... oh wait! I wear my GSC T-shirt around all the time, but I've not been approached... (I guess I don't hang around the same places as the other ex-TWI)

I'm fine... just finished watering the yard (the one time a week I'm allowed to)...

I've heard that on as well medic... also the old "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge"...
-
I could've sworn that I saw her feet still moving when it went back to show the lower half... oh well.. good illusion!

That explains the winning streak! To just throw money at it without thinking of the chemistry of the rest of the team gets you nowhere fast... just ask Tom Hicks. He decided (but only for a couple of years) to spend with Big George but he didn't spend it on the right folks, folks that could have a chance of doing well in this park... and he's still paying for them (ARod, Park)... Anyone who was any good didn't want to play in the dutch oven that is the Ballpark for three months... they just teased us and used us to help drive their price up...

I always wondered how they got those chipmunks to sing...
