  1. while I still practice the aforementioned "jet style" packing I'd like to point out that one of it's main benefits was (and still is) that the wrinkles run vertically rather than horizontally (thus adding to the illusion of thinness)...
  2. I can read. I know that's what you did... and it was a LOW BLOW...
  3. Reverend2Ts... I've already made arrangements to travel in this: I'm thinking we can put 'em in a circle like a wagon train around a cement pond... all of my brethren and sistern are welcome to lounge about... it sure beats the '72 F150 with a camper shell...
  4. OM... that's a low blow... and in case you're keeping tabs on the rest of us: I NEVER "used twi to tranquilize (my) own personal dissatisfaction with (my)self"... If that's what YOU did, so be it... don't project your warpedness on others... it's so shallow and transparent...
  5. B-b-b-ut CW... can't someone be "satisfied within themselves" (or think they are) and still notice "something" over there that I don't have within me but would like??? Nowhutahmeen? oh... and I'm not arguing with you (at least I don't mean to)... I just posted the earlier post because it was how I felt way back when... I know it was different for all... and I haven't taken anything personally, just wanted to add my take... if I missed the point of it all, then nevermind
  6. Hey... Penny looked awfully strong there... for that matter, so did all of the NL pitchers... As you guys may or may not know, I subscribe to The Newberg Report, it's a daily email or two about what's going on with the stRangers minor league guys with a little extra about the major league roster and moves thrown in... it's just more baseball for me... you guys might even like it since it talks a lot about Minor League talent around the country, but it is mostly about the stRanger prospects... Anyway... I found it interesting that back on JUNE 18th (after the Ozzie beanball fiasco here) Newberg wrote this: anyway... I know I already said it, but I'm just really happy for Michael... Ozzie sure was a nice guy last night wasn't he? starman, just for you, he didn't use Popoblam because he didn't want to risk hurting him...
  7. I found this Funny Video I thought you'd enjoy...
  8. if that pic is from the rock then I was probably nodding out up in the crow's nest leaning against a follow spot... dreaming of being with you guys drinking a beer... hee hee... Mark with his curls! I wonder if he's bald now?
  9. Bill Mumy??? ...the only movie that I can think of off of the top of my head is Twilight Zone: The Movie Vic Morrow (of course) Bad News Bears (the only other 'movie' I remember him in)
  10. well... I liked the game... I like 'pitchers duels'... ...and I felt good for Michael Young, he seems so under rated nationally (at least that's our perception here)... but he does that kind of stuff all of the time for us, and he's such a selfless individual and player, an all around really good guy... it's okay to like him... it's okay for you to admire him... he won't like it, but it's okay...
  11. oh.... we're still 'discussing' this?
  12. I think I remember something about veepee and Dotsie supposed to be living there in their golden years... AND that any Corps would be welcome to come and go and use it... hanging out with them... not intruding on them... kind of like when you'd go to visit your parents or grandparents... but then my memory isn't so good these days... and either way, it was TAKEN OVER by lcm and his most imortant above any promises or corps family...
  13. These two quotes from MOM pretty much sum up my thoughts as well: whatever other reasons are out there... I wanted to 'help' others have what I had, be filled to overflowing so that it wasn't that I had to go witnessing... people just saw it and knew that I had something they wanted... ...and I wanted to share that with others... I had always pretty much been raised to 'not accept second best', it was what my folks used to give me drive and ambition... and it was probably a reason that I got involved as well (that and the hot girls!)... all I know is that after that first fellowship I wanted more and people saw a genuine change in me physically, mentally and spiritually beginning with that first fellowship... and I tried to keep it like that, I really did. Sure I made mistakes along the way and when I first wasn't 'sold on it' 100%, I walked away... disappeared...
  14. Jardi... five hive six sick seven heaven eight gate nine... swine? ...does that mean we're swine?
  15. george is right... there are 12 Monkeys...
  16. ...then I'll go with the obvious: Burt Reynolds Smokey and the Bandit Jackie Gleason (although I'm sure we've had that before...probably)
  17. "they" said that originally they wanted Depp to play the Errol Flynn type pirate but let him use his 'creative abilities' to put a different light on it... (and I think he does well) ...I think that Orlando Bloom is the 'Errol Flynn' type now (and the women would probably agree)...
  18. Tom Strange

    Deadwood

there was an actor who was in the first few episodes and got killed off that appeared in the next season as a different character, Hearst's advance man, before again being killed off... could that be him?
  19. I just found out something about wikipedia... you can go in and delete krap like that (I just did!)... There was a lot of other 'positive' stuff in there about Tony Kubek, why that particular extremely biased section was selected I don't know... I liked Kubek as a player and as an announcer he wasn't so bad... I liked Garagiola as well... for the same reason I like Joe Morgan these days: lots of stories mixed with knowledge of the game...
  20. I guess they'll let anything go into wikipedia unchallenged and unsupported... I found myself lacking interest in last night's HR derby until the last of the semi-final and then final round... hey boys... that Ryan Howard has some power... my candidate for player to be negatively effected by the HR derby this year: David Wright ...for some silly reason I do keep enjoying the "celebrity" / old timer softball game... although I do think they should've brought back Kenny Maine...
  21. aw Sudo! don't be so picky! ...it's all just make believe... just go and have fun! you can pretend that the spooks are other bad pirates!
  22. and then I'd probably say: Billy Crudup Almost Famous Jason Lee
  23. hmmm... walking stick cow Ginger ...is it Cane Mutiny?
  24. ...well, I'm still not holding my breath for a revocation of the original judgment... it's a long, long shot at best...
