That is a classic Lingoman! According to http://www.jeffbeck.com/ he's coming to the states soon! (my friend from the sock drawer: The Paramount on 9/24)... the tour starts in Tampa on 9/6 so maybe HegotHope and ShegotJohn can go... No Texas or Alaska dates though... Reno's about as close as he's getting to you Lingo... (Socks, glad I could help... feel free to edit as you need! If you'd only known of Lojack...)
  2. I went to chat a couple of times long ago... I don't type fast enough... I can't keep up... :(
  3. Jardi's right... OM picks one point out of a conversation that everyone else seems to "get" without any trouble, and then inanely argues it to death... ...whether he believes it or not... he's got his agenda...
  4. They sure didn't mind spending the money to send the plane down with el Cee on it did they? Could've saved themselves a lot of trouble if they'd thought it through... but actual cognizent thinking took second place... Too bad... could've saved a lot of people a lot of grief...
  5. My responses to the river in Egypt in bold:
  6. And you'll deny to your last breath that TWI was culpable for anything negatively that happened to some... Tell me this OM... how would you react to this scenario? YOU have a company that teaches leadership classes. Folks come to your campus from all over the country to take your courses. One of these courses is similar to 'Outward Bound' and helps folks overcome doubts about their abilities, helps them gain confidence, builds leadership! This course is part of the curriculam yet is located hundreds of miles from campus. YOU REQUIRE them to hitch hike to and from this class. Now even if you have no idea or thought that hitching is perilous you send them to the class. On the way to the class ONE person is raped or ONE person is killed (choose either, but only one occurrance). You would be ruined and broke because IN COURT you would be found liable for having put those folks in that predicament. It doesn't matter that it never happened before, it doesn't matter that you didn't know that hitching was perilous. YOU would be found responsible of negligence... if not in whole, at least in part. Now, take that to the next level... over the course of time, while YOUR STUDENTS were hitching to and from the class, there had been rapes, a student was killed, and others had many harms befall them. YOU would be found GUILTY OF CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE in court as well as losing all you own. The same is true of TWI, whether you believe it or not. They are fortunate that the statute of limitations has expired... I don't blame TWI for everything that happened as you so wonderfully like to throw out there as you paint with your broad brush of denial... I blame them for what they were responsible for... it just happens that there's a whole lot that they were responsible for...
  7. HOLY sheet! I never cease to be amazed... that whole album is golden... (and you're quite young QT)
  8. They probably wouldn't have helped any GSG... at least with the movie... Now if it was "The Wall" you were talking about...

It's been three months since I last saw you, Girl what's a man supposed to do? With the oil I see that you got beer, And I'm thinkin' you need to stop at Goodyear. I'm wonderin' girl if you'll ever come back, And I know next time I'm buying Lojack.
  10. It did for a lot of us Eagle... it did for a lot of us...
  11. After the trade deadline, if two teams want to trade players, the players must 'clear waivers'. Waivers (if I understand correctly) means that all the other teams (in reverse order of standings) get a chance to claim the player that has been waived. If a player is claimed then either the waiving team pulls the player back (cancelling the trade/waiver) or the original team that waived and the team that claimed the player work out a new deal. I found this on Wikipedia under Major League Baseball Transactions: Prior to the trade deadline in a season Teams can freely trade back and forth without waivers. After the trade deadline a player must clear waivers prior to the consumation of the trade.

    mel gibson

saw a piece on the teevee last night that folks who know him, and have known him for a while... say that this is a "demon he's been battling" for a long time... that there's a "good Mel" and a "bad Mel" and that the "bad Mel" is very very bad... and of course they relate to when he's drinking or when he's on the wagon... that he's a "mean drunk"... but those folks who were with him at the bar didn't say he was mean...
  15. So... if you totally ignored the warning the guy gave you and continued to go back again and again... WHAT? You didn't ignore his warning though did you? (TWI did) The rest of your senseless drivel I won't waste my time with... Folks, maybe someday, sometime OM will come clean as to why he posts from the position he posts... allow folks to see his real motive...
  16. bring him over here... we'll slap him around a little and send him back! (in a good way of course)
  17. yeah, that's terrible about Veritek... hmmm... let Theo know that Rod Barajas can be had... and he'll serve you well... (if he needs a reference I'm sure Gabe can vouch for him) ...now about that pitching we'd like... Of course, I guess now they'd both have to clear waivers wouldn't they? And there's no way Barajas is clearing, and probably not any pitcher we would want either...
  18. This song might be too obscure although the artist isn't... Sometimes I think I'm the only person who ever bought this album... Or, at least, bought it and thought it was one of the finest albums ever made... And this song... a masterpiece... So I'll give you a bunch of lines: Me and my good partners We were riding back to our camp We were feeling very fine The air was clear and slightly damp We were riding back to have ourselves a party To celebrate the robbing of the train We were talking kind of low and lazy 'bout not having to go out soon again ...but then again, you folks surprise me sometimes (though I should expect it!)
  19. I must concur with my brother in the Dental chair... or is that a barber's chair? The whole trick to acid, hiway, was moderation and making sure you were around folks who were going to remain mellow... I cannot begin to explain to you how amazing Fantasia is on a good hit of acid at the drive in on a cool autumn evening... I had friends who were vegetables as well... but they did acid on a pretty much daily basis... me? once or twice a year was all... and of course, eat a lot of vitamin C prior to your trip! chattingKathy: the only doll that I know of around here, or being talked about, is you dear... About the most prominent thing I remember about 200 Motels is the song "It can't happen here, it can't happen here, I'm telling you my dear that it can't happen here blah blah blah"
  20. Yep... driving the red Pinto... you can ride in the back next to the gas tank (we need a man with your believing back there) Besides... ourseestorEx already called shotgun...

    Texas

Then it would seem that we could celebrate one of those as well! C'mon man! Get your priorities in order!
  22. ahhh, well then... True Lies The Governator Kindergarten Cop
  23. Si Senor. (such a sweet and innocent little talking doll we have here) I do remember thinking (while watching Fantasia) how neat it was that they wrote all of that music just for those cartoons!
  24. yep... might as well just walk him and take your chances with Manny...
