I've met Jim... he seemed like an OK guy... maybe he was having a bad day, maybe he still feels that way about it... I don't know... it's his group and I can tell by the words he wrote that he doesn't know you. Maybe he didn't understand you Roy, sometimes I don't either but that's OK... folks don't understand me sometimes either (ask my wife!)... I've 'belonged' to that yahoo group for a long time... it's where I heard about GSC! I just lurk over there and read the little 'blurbs' that get sent out by yahoo from time to time... I get that they're very comfortable with each other and it looks to me like it's a 'social' kind of thing, they just hang out there like we do here... except I really don't recall ever seeing too much religious, doctrinal kind of stuff... (stuff like you post, Roy) mostly it's just folks keeping up with each other's lives... Roy, I feel bad that you were hurt by his words and I think he could've just told you 'you're gone because we don't do that here' and left the other stuff out... not everyone is going to "get" who you are or what you're doing... so what? It's never seemed to bother you before which is why I'm having a hard time understanding why you posted his communication with you "out here"... it doesn't seem like "the Roy I know"... because the only reason I can think of for you to post it here is so people can be mad at Jim... and in that's not the picture I had of you in my mind... know what I mean?

Nice game by Carpenter wasn't it? ...well, a little better than nice! but the boy can bring it can't he? Placido Polanco, Ivan Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson are a combined 0-for-34 against St. Louis. who's pitching tonight? Bonderman and Suppan? ...I don't know who I like there... Weaver returned to form, will Suppan? ...I don't know how any of them pitch, hit or catch in the weather they're playing in... in the mind of my youth I never remember it being so cold during the series... and they say there's global warming! bah!

Why do I ever come down to this place (doctrinal)??? Someone please remind me... allen... c'mon... he pitched an excellent game... I don't like the guy much because he's kind of burned his bridges here (2 or 3 times)... but wouldn't that be pretty stoopid to try to cheat during the world serious? ...I don't like him, but he's not that stoopid... LaRussa said he pitched a great game and left it at that... I'm sure he didn't want to admit that Rogers got inside their heads a little... ...and I've been wondering the same thing about Tony L the whole playoffs mstar... why is he wearing those shades at night?

Glad to hear that! I just bought a laptop with the dual core AMD 1.8's... it's performing fine, has lots of features and was $800 cheaper than similar ones with Intel chips...

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning. I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, "Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a small present for me. As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone "Happy Birthday." I thought... Well, that's marriage for you, but the kids.... They will remember. My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word. So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent. As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, "Good Morning Boss, and by the way Happy Birthday! " It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered. I worked until one o'clock, when Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your Birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me." I said, "Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!" We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. She chose instead a quiet bistro with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office, Jane said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day... We don't need to go straight back to the office, Do We ?" I responded, "I guess not. What do you have in mind?" She said, "Let's drop by my apartment, it's just around the corner." After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said, " Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment. I'll be right back." "Ok," I nervously replied. She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake .. Followed by my wife, my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday. And I just sat there... On the couch.... Naked.
