I'd ask folks who live in your area (that have cell phones) how they like their service... they'll usually have an opinion. Different providers work differently in different areas. I have TMobile in DFW and it works fine. I had been through about 3 others prior to this but found that I had fewer dropped calls and their plans were very competitive. Also, whenever I want to upgrade to a different phone they give me the same (or better) deals that they give to their new customers with no hassle. Of course, you have to recommit for another two years, but I'm happy with them. I recently had a friend who has Verizon whose phone got damaged. At first Verizon wouldn't allow them the discount to replace the phone even though they only had 3 months left on their contract. Finally, after a couple of more calls and haggling, they did... but I've never had to go through that with TMobile. I'll PM you some pages from ConsumerReports.org, if you wish, that give you ideas on how to decide which plans and cell phones might work best for you... as well as who the top rated suppliers are in your area.... just PM me if you're interested.

It's just you... :) (not really) That does happen here, but I don't know that it happens any more here than in any other forum populated by people who were once in an extremely controlling religious cult... or in the general public. Generally, if someone comes here looking for an argument about something, they'll probably find someone who will give it to them... depends on whose post toasties got pi$$ed in that day... and of course we do have some who just like to "debate"... Most times, if something was taken wrong, if the original poster just comes on and clarifies then everything ends up peachy-keen. If anyone took 'violent' exception to the misunderstanding in the meantime, they'll usually come back and say 'sorry, never mind' as well. I think there's more of an occasion for ambiguity with the "written, internet conversation" than a face to face, oral conversation... even though we do have emoticons.

well... those masons sure get around! as to the civil war being financed by france and england (i feel like no caps today)... it wouldn't doubt wouldn't surprise me if there was some support from them for both sides much like contributors to political campains contribute to both sides... they want to make sure they're in favor of the winning side.

I remeber being a wow in Lawrence during the Blizzard of 77 or 78... anywho... first time I'd lived up north... walking down the middle of the main street with snow up to my waist in my wonderful KMart parka with the fur of a mangey german shepherd around the hood (or so it seemed)... I thougt it was great! snow drifts halfway up the second stories... tunnels and secret hideouts! snow coming down so fast the plows couldn't keep up with it... 36 inches in 24 hours... (well, it was a big deal to the poor boy from Texas)
