Ginzo huh? He said to me; "You are stupid" on LEAD. At first it hurt, but then again, I just thought oh screw you. My first impression of him was that he was cool and down to earth. But, evidently not. Told your husband to leave you uh? Not very Biblical. Guess "It Is Written" was not his motto. A poor example of a Way Corps person.... And yes red haired French Babe, nice to see you too! And, I like the froggy... With love, "Jonny"

Gosh Belle, I love your picture, you are sooo hot!!

I was in the Tenth Corps, and I remember that. Was it George Cumella? It definitely seems as if it was one of our brothers from New York City... In fact, he got eproved heavily for teaching about "heart". VPW had once said something like "I don't know kids, how do you teach "heart"? And so, one time on the top floor of the library, George used that statement by VPW as his opening statement, and proceeded to try and teach "heart". And man oh man did he get creamed royally for that one. I remember seeing him cornered against the back wall by the Corps Coordinators and being chewed up onside and down the other for trying to "out do VP and do something that VPW said couldn't be done....." Sad sad sad... p.s. This was supposed to have been posted after and in response to Outandabouts comment. But for some reason it has appeared after the poll

Damn girl! That picture of Rosalie freaked me out with your name next to it! Scary costume fore shore. You are twisted! :) And yeah, LCM made it pretty easy for us, even though we had followed the CG thing for awhile after. Finally we dumped that whole thing too. Seemed like CG was really "mean" and unkind. What I liked about The Way was the Love that I found amongst my new found friends (which really did exist!), and when that became a thing of the past, we just became part of it's history...

Honestly, I have to agree with you Abigail. It just is weird to me that other ethnic groups other than "rednecks" can be so ridiculous about things like that. I too believe that poking fun at any group should be okay. I guess i was just using this particular thread to bring up the idiocy of those who are so damned oversensitive... We have a certain ethnic group here in Alaska who have a high incidence of incestual child abuse. And so, what does a girl from ____ say after she makes love? . . . . . . . . . . . . . Get off of me Dad, you're crushin my smokes...

DMiller, now that was funny. It has just always bugged me that we can take such humor in stride, but when it comes to minorotie groups, we have to walk on eggshells, or be crucified if we don't...

Umm, sorry to get political here, but.... What would have happened here if the topic had been "Gang Banger ettiquette, and then the wording had a decidedly "inner city African American" dialect depicting criminal gangbanger ways? Or, what if it had been the accent and dialect of inner city Hispanic Americans depicting gang violence? I know full well what would have happened. There would have been a major assault from "offended parties" crying racism and racial insensitivity. And yet, being a white guy, I have no problem with the "redneck jokes" and things of this nature that have flown around the Internet for years. I have seen similar little "internet funnies" referring to "Southerners" and rednecks as stupid, ignorant, dirty, illiterate, and crass, just as this thread does. And it always amazed me that there was no "outcry' leveled against such insensitivity. So why is it that we can stereotype a group of Southern and Redneck Americans, and it is no problem? I mean, could you imagine the outcry here if someone said of Inner City Black People's hygiene (and I will quote) "4. If you have to vacuum the bed, it is time to change the sheets"? This would indicate that Inner City Black People are dirty, stupid, filthy human beings, and what an outcry there would be here. This has always baffled me that the Southerner and the Redneck can be stereo typed this way with impunity, and we hardly hear a peep about it. I once got reproved by a fellow GSpot member (who is Hispanic) for using the term "wetback" when referring to a friend whom I helped to immigrate to the United States of America after I found out that he was an illegal alien! Hmm, let's see, what's worse, "Wetback" or Redneck?" The one refers to an illegal alien who is simply seeking Freedom which is an honorable thing, while the other refers to a fellow American as filthy ignorant bigoted trash. And Sudo, I am not offended by this here, I just see that there is a weird double standard in this country as to whom we can ridicule, and whom we cannot. And remember: A bridal veil made of window screen is not only cost effective but also a proven fly deterrent. I guess all redneck girls stink so bad that they draw flies by the gazillions!

Well ExCath, I know your situation wasn't a "maybe". Sorry, wrong choice of a word. But, since I was pretty far from VP, and interacted with him only on "priviledged" occasions , my reason for leaving wasn't directly because of him. On the occasions I was around him, he treated me well. It was LCM's later on "breathing out threatenings and slaughter", his rantings and ravings, and then finally his ridiculous effort to regain control regardless of his unbiblical methods, that caused me to simply say; "I refuse to answer that ridiculous ultimatum, if "It Is Written" is supposed to be our motto, then "It Is Written" no longer exists here. let the chips fall where they may". And, even though my wife and I felt like "Mr. and Mrs. Mole" standing and blinking in the blinding yet life giving sunlight for the first time ever, we are thankful to have made that decision...
-
Well ExCath, maybe your situation was more unique than it was for others. I am a guy, and he never made a pass at me. VP treated me as one of the "good old boys", although I didn't know what he and the "upper eschelon good old boys" really did behind the scenes. But now I know, and it was not biblically sanctioned....

I was kicked out because I refused to answer the "ultimatum" oriented "Who do you stand with?" letter. I just decided that I had given my all, and if that wasn't good enough, then they could kick me out. I wasn't going to quit, for I'd never quit an assignment or commitment, and if they were going to try and get me to answer such a stupid and unbiblical question such as "who do you stand with, LCM or CG"?, then they could just decide what to do with me and my wife, which they did. We were kicked out via a letter addressed to "Mr" Lingo as opposed to "Rev Lingo". It was so ludicrous, because LCM must have called me "Mr Lingo" about ten times in that letter just to make his point. And ya know, I never did give a .... if people called me "Rev" or not, but his cheap shots were so infantile that it just flat out bemused me and made me really think of how much of a pendejo he had become, only re-affirming my decision to give it up.... Hi Socks...

What disaster marriage? And who promoted it? TC or HC? -
Well, if the girl wants help, like someone mentioned, maybe you Allen, share God's Word with her, line out the details of God's opinion of it, as well as God's forgiveness. Maybe share with her the place where Jesus forgave the woman who was caught in the act of adultry, and kept the religious maniacs from stoning her, and then said, "neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more..."
-
So, how long has this fiend been seeking deliverance? I mean, if she is the one who wants to change, then maybe it is not a bad thng for you to try and help.

Does anyone know anything about Jeff's where and whatabouts? He was my WOW "cousin" (from the other family), and he was/is the greatest. He played guitar very well and had some very very nice songs that he played and wrote. He also was in a band in the Ninth Corps called "Daystar" I think. It was short lived, but they were very good. He was from Kokomo, Indianna... Anybody know anything?

Ya know, I have no idea why that double posted like that...

The god of this world, Satan, the one who is the "author of death, that is the devil" is responsible for the hurricane. I have found biblical verses supporting this in Bibles that were writen way long before The Way International was even thought of. And one day Death will be swallowed up in victory. So.....Yes. It was the devil Bobby Booshay!

I need a top 10 list for my Slavecorps friends....
J0nny Ling0 replied to bliss's topic in About The Way
Bliss- I think that when you come up with a concrete list, that you should back your objections with Scriptures. For instance: 1.) Craig was caught in adultry, and we now know that it was not a onetime affair. Back up this breach of God's Word with Scripture. Not too much "research" required there. 2.) They lied to everybody when they said that it was a "one time affair". Lying is wrong, and off the Word. Back it up with: "Wherefore put away lying and let every man speak truth to his neighbor...." And just go on down your list with like comparisons of the "wrongs" with what God's Word says. And then, finish it out with somethiing like; "If this is supposed to be a ministry of "It Is Written", then I cannot remain involved with people whose top leadership ignore "It Is Written" at the very highest levels. Why, this is blasphemy to the enth degree! And so, thank you for your time, but, I must be going now." And then, do not even expect to have them to agree with what you have said. Just simply walk away. And maybe just maybe, some of your good friends will follow your lead if you in fact have given them a copy of your statement which is backed up biblically. But, if they don't so be it. Just remember that your statement is not a "request" for a blessing upon you when you leave. It is simply a statement that you feel decency requires you to make. And you know, it is very kind of you to bother to make that statement, for, you DO have friends there that you love and want to at least give a "heads up" to concerning your decision. You do not owe TWI anything, but you may WANT to tell your friends why you have made this decision, because, well, you love them. Or, you can just quietly walk away as some here have said, and your friends may or may not seek you out in order to ask you "why". Just my two cents. ... -
Tom, that is so....Strange

Wow. Count your blessings...

No no no. "Hookers" is close, but here is just the right touch "The Happy Hooker" Actually, as I read through all this, I was hoping to be the one to post "The Happy Hooker" as I read through the names. But as I got to the end I see that White Dove has already (almost) posted it. When we lived in Wasilla, Alaska, I was towed twice by the Happy Hooker. Hey CW, you'd be in league with another Alaskan :)-->, and remember, Sex sells!

Aha! See? Just what would you do without that pure pleasure of a specific sort? And, my wife wouldn't fit into that world very well. She loves trucks too
