  1. Socks said; Well, I lived that way in The Way from the age of 18 to the age of 34, and now with four kids, and all of life's expenses, I am still playing catch up. People in my chosen profession before I entered The Way are now retiring from healthy careers as U.S. Merchant Marines. One friend of mine from back in the hood has now retired as a Chief Engineer working for Sea Land Container Shipping, America's largest U.S. Flag shipping company. And to think that I was the one to inspire him to run off and join the Merchant Marines like I had done. Well, happy for him. He and his wife are building a retirement home in the Bahamas.... But I did become a pretty good window washer....
  2. Umm, that seems sort of.... , but, I don't really see where Froid acted surprised at the reactions found here. He only simply stated that he was "not a plant", and that he didn't understand how people here thought he was "trying to reconcile Craig" back to he people here, but rather that he was simply stating what appears to be a dichotomy, between the picture painted here, and the current picture that he views of Craig in the venue in which he has now taken up residence. "Reconsider his profession"? I am not so sure that this is his profession, but rather an interest that he has... And back to the topic, EX10. You are wonderful. What next? Well, on her original post, she did leave an e-mail address if you care to write her. I got a pm from her and she was really nice...
  3. Nice thread Pawtucket, glad you brought it up. I think Galen's "chicken analogy" described it best. Too bad, that... :(
  4. Engine! You still around? Hadn't heard from you forver...Yeah, "Gomes" as Geo Cumella used to call him...Last I saw him was in Seattle when he was meticulously eating a Club Sandwich at a deli where we retired for lunch during a "weekend in the Word" or some sort of shindig. His beard was perfectly trimmed, and he ate with a flourish....

What is "Rhapsody"? I mean, as far as a music genre is concerned... And I know you will flip when you hear Del Castillo, seeins as how you come from a hispanic background, and loves them guitars! Happy to turn you on to them!
  6. Yeah, what Socks said... :) JL
  7. And if I may..... I have a good friend whom I have known forever who attends E*rl B*rton's fellowship regularly. And Earl runs the WGIP class. He goes every so often (every, or every other Sunday) and enjoys it. He says there is no pressure for him to come there, no pressure to be a part of any outreach stuff, and there has never been any pressure for him to "take the Class" (WGIP). Earl is very kind as he has always been, and never tries to get my bud (my bud since 7th grade) to do anything, but is just happy to see him there. Kind of like "Church": A "nice to see ya, hope all is well" kind of a thing. And, he said he doesn't hear much if anything about CG when he goes to meetins. My bud lives "in sin" with a Jewish gal who isn't interested in Christianity, but my pal never hears any negs about his living situation. In fact, they are happy that my unmarried bud finally has a companion with whom to share his life. And so, is this good? Is this bad? Is it part of a grand deception? I dunno, you judge. It is just some facts about someone who is involved in a CG affiliated fellowship at the present time...
  8. On a personal basis, CG and I got along well. For some reason he liked me out at Gunnison, when he was our Corps Coordinator. We had some really fine times with him there. At night, he would read to us from this guy's journal for over an hour at a time. The journal was from an eighteen year old kid who worked in the Silver Queen Mine not far from Camp Gunnison back in the 1800's. Those were neat times for us. No movies, and such, but rather, "good old fashioned reading" at night as a group. And, he liked me and always asked me to do projects with him working on things and stuff... But after the POP situation, I found him to be rather "unfriendly" as a whole, to the poeple who had followed after his reproof. Seemed to be "too severe" about everything. And me, well, I love Love, not severity...
  9. I never told the guy/gal to leave this place, to not look around this place. The guy/gal is already at this place.. Twinot is here already to freely take a gander at all and any post available. Sigh... Hope the ice breaks up for ya soon so you can catch some bass
  10. Oh now. In actuality, I really do not even like Jack Daniels. It has a weird sweet taste which I do not like at all. For me, when going cheap, I buy Jim Beam, a good middle of the road bourbon. But when I want to spend a little bit more, I buy Knob Creek, or Maker's Mark. Knob Creek goes for $32.00 a fifth up here, and Maker's goes for about the same, roughly. What do you all pay down there for the same? And, I do not put "coke" in my bourbon, but rather, at the most, ice cubes. Maker's Mark and coke? Beam and Coke? Yuck! Why ruin the whiskey? Hey Whynot! Do they drink Makers in Minot? No? Whynot?! Get it? Oh well, sorry bout that...
  11. Nooo Tom! There's only a little bit left!! But okay....Never done any drankin wif ya anyhoo...

Hey. Have any of you ever heard of the band "Del Castillo"? Damn man! Those guys are awesome! A friend of mine from Austin sent me a CD of them entitled "Del Castillo" (aptly named), and the guitars on there are extroardinary! It's all a "Spanish sound" but the speed and taste is perhaps the most extroardinary guitar work I have ever heard. Socks, you ever heard of 'em? I know you woul;d totally love those guys. Maybe I can find a link. Hold on: http://www.delcastillomusic.com/ Man, these guys are just fantastic. Makes wanna be a Mexican or somethin!
  13. You are a sweet woman Belle, and no doubt as beautiful as your avatar*. But I have one little problem here. You said: ?!?!?!Oh that sounds so girly! And ya know, I have been around the block some, but I have never been in a bathroom stall and out of TP and had to ask the occupant in the next stall to "pass the TP". Has that actually happened to you before? Well now, it seems as if Rascal and I do not see eye to eye very often except on fishin. But, c'est la vie. I guess that's the way it is I 'spose. Part of it too is the fact that we all post "anonymously", and I think that people are more apt to be more "in your face" than when people are not actually "face to face". And here we are not face to face, but rather, "we" are just "a bunch of words" typed out, and it is easier to get fired up over things. Anyway, Rascal, sorry to have fired you up like that. But, my opinion is my opinion I spose... *Belle. Is your avatar a photo of the gal who played Scarlet O'Hara? Or, is that you?
  14. Thank you Oakspear. And Belle: She can call me "insulting", and that is not an attack. But I say that she is "rude", and that is an attack. WTF? But Belle, thanks for your concern, for you are a sweet lady, and I have never thought you to be rude... Hmm. Let's see. "Rude, Insulting, Rude, Insulting". What's the difference between those two adjectives? I do not think there is much difference. I confess, I was retaliating. But I did not fire the first round... And so really. I personally have shunned the ministry of CG. I have dear friends who are still involved with CG, but I have declined the offer, because as Mike said, many of their leaders seem to be "tough and mean", and I don't like mean people. I have one really good friend who runs his classes, and he is not mean. And E*rl Burt*n is not mean. He is kind, a teddy bear. But others whom I have been around are kind of "callous". But I still maintain that Twinot has the right to consider all sources, and not just info at the GSCafe alone. And hey Twinot, "Why Not Minot? Hah ha! You could move there, and say; "Hi, my name is Twinot, and now I live in Minot!" Haha! Get it? Twinot from Minot?"
  15. Mike, without a long reply, in short, what is CG's "limited foreknowledge" theory? Since this thread is a query about CG, then I think it appropriate were you to supply that information. Sounds really strange to be sure
  16. Whoa! I think you just love to pick fights, dontcha Rascal? I think you get off on it... Hey. I think the guy/gal has the right to seek information somewhere else besides here, I mean, that's reasonable, isn't it? You are right, he will find mainly one opinion here for the most part. And I suppose that this is the only opinion of CG that you want him to have. Ya know, I read CNN and Newsmax in the morning. One very liberal, the other very conservative. I look at both sides of the coin. I think that Twinot is probably grown up enough to make his or her own decisions based on input from various directions. I myself am mostly conservative. But I also like to read what others are feeding on as well. Twinot asked about whether anyone had anything good to say about Chris Geer, and since I know that there is not much good said about him here, I directed him/her to a place where somebody does have something good to say about him. A place where others also have first hand information about him. I answered his/her request. But oh, that's wrong. That's an insult. You know, I think you are simply a very rude person Rascal. :( Twinot, I think you are responsible enough to gain information on your own and make your own decision as to what to do with it. I know that you are not so Waybrained that you have to be "locked into" only one source of info, but can make your own decisions. Listen to the negative opinions of him. Listen to the positive opinions and then you decide...
  17. Hey. I think that response from Sunesis was totally reasonable. But let me post my opinion on "getting over it". I do believe in moving on, leaving the past behind, and not allowing past offenders to rise from that past and even from the grave to continue "screwing me". I had a limb leader one time who totally blind sided me in a meeting that was actually set up to reprove me publicly, and yet I didn't know a thing about it before hand. Sparing the details of my alleged offenses, which were in fact false, he accused me in front of a whole houseful (my house!) of twig leaders of having done so many "insidious acts", which I had in fact not done. I was so shocked, I couldn't believe it. After the meeting was over, and all the twig leaders were wearing their smug smiles, I got in my truck, drove down to the local Alaskan commercial fishing fleet at the docks, found a friend readying himself for a halibut opening, and signed on as crew. Yeah, I split the scene and people wondered where I went even, as the coffee and donuts were being served. The next day I was gone for a week and fishing and enjoying Life. "I go a fishing", I guess. But man was I pi$$ed at this his punk a$$ed jock who knew nothing about me, nor how things had been occurring in my area of responsibility. Whenever I would think about it while working I would get so mad, I would just use that old Viet Nam soldier's way of dealing with it by saying; "f___ it. Don't mean nothin", and get my head back into the dangerous work at hand. And when I got home from fishing, thank God my wife was there to love me and talk to me about it. But even after a couple of years of me bringing the incident up from time to time, with me re-hashing it, re-explaining to my wife and myself about how unjust it all was, and how much of a betrayal the whole deal was, and me getting way bitter over it all over again, my wife just told me that I had to flat out "get over it" and move on, because "that subject keeps eating you up". She went on to say that she didn't know how I was going to do it, but, "maybe you should start by forgiving him, so that he doesn't keep on "screwing you from afar". She went on to say that he probably has no idea that you are still mad about it, and probably does not even care a whit. He probably thinks he was doing God's will, so, just "get over it, will ya?" And ya know? That was pretty durned sound advice. For me, at that point, it was time. And so, I simply asked God to forgive him, and also asked God to forgive me for allowing that guy to keep pi$$ing me off for those couple of years, and then I dropped it from my mind. Now, I did indicate that there was a time frame there, but you know what? Even though it took me that long to get there, it still would have been in my favor if I had "gotten over it" only weeks after the offense had occurred, instead of years. It would have saved me plenty of mental anguish had I done so. But, it took me more time than that. And so, "sooner rather than later" is of course better, but finally doing it at some point should be, in my own opinion, the eventual goal. Makes life more tolerable I spect... :)
  18. Welcome Twinot! And well, I have some friends with whom I still be's in touch with, who are involved in CG's ministry. They are nice folks, and don't judge me at all. But I do know that they probably think I "missed the boat" by not being in the same canoe with him and them. But to their credit, I have never "been confronted" (gawd I hate that term!) for "tripping out" and not following the man. I went to one of their fellowships once and the man running it, *arl B*rt*on was very kind to me and asked me excitedly if I "was a class presenter" of CG's Walking In God's Power Class, and he was so kind and excited to see me that I didn't have the heart to tell him that I hadn't even taken the class. If you want to really learn about all of that, this is not the place to learn it. But you could do a google on this same guy (Earl) and add the words "Charlottesville Real Estate" to it and you would come up with his name and website, addresses and all of that. But, I haven't had much of a desire to be a part of all of that or any of all of that these days. But hey! Welcome Twinot! And hey, you wouldn't be from Minot, North Dakota, would ya? Get it? "Twinot from Minot?" Get it? Haw haw haw...
  19. That's really something Sipper. Ya know, I remember working and doing some remodeling work around a bunch of Pakistanis at their store, and there was a peculiar aroma to them. I finally figured it out when I went to do some work in this Pakistani clients home. It was curry! They cook with curry all of the time. You know, curried rice and alla that. I had never heard that Aussies had a particular scent though, and so, lamb you say? Interesting. Well, take care my friend, and if you get a chance, try some of that "Wombat Wellington", or maybe a little "creamed kookaburra bird", or some "fried fruit bat", or some "poached platypus"? Haha! Take care bro! "Jonny"
  20. FellowSheeper! Happy birthday, and hope that the lamb chops on the barby were delicious and that you washed it down with some fine Australian beer! Cheers to you Down Under from our family way Up Over!
  21. Eatin Lamb huh FellowSheeper? Cool! And happy birthday to Rythm and Blues, "R and B". Glad to hear your doing well brother. And hey, isn't Lamb a common thing Down thataway? We had a friend who wroked at Dulles Airport for the Cutoms people or something. And one time they confiscated about thirty fifty pound boxes of Australian Lamb chops. And, she didn't know just how cool of a deal that was. And so, she gave us about seven of those boxes, and we had to scramble to find a place to keep it all frozen. Gave a good bit away. But man oh man, we'd marinate it, and put it on the old barbie, and damnation it was fine! Anyhoo, happy birthday brother, and God bless...yore friend, "Jonny Lingo"
  22. Hey. Anybuddy heard from FellowSipper lately? How's he doing? Probably still Down Under gnawing on fruit bat wings and kookaburra birds eggs...

Oh shucks Toppie. I am sorry if I sounded like i thought you were being overanxious. I guess when I wrote that I was thinking about how much I put into that story the last time I wrote it but then they dumped it into cyberspace! I wonder Pawtucket has it in some archives somewhere..
