JAL schmal Gittin tired of this. Those folks over there will get over it all when they want to. And not a day sooner. Looks like JAL and his ministry is causing division and anger amongst people whom he hasn't see in ages! Welcome to, the twilight zone... -

Socks told me: And, you ar right. Sorry. I guess I was just thinking that these people involved with the STFI are there simply because they WANT to be there. And, they are getting what is "on the plate" so to speak. Getting what comes along when one puts oneself in the position that they have. But maybe some of them do not know that there are Nose Spiders wainting for them in the night. I guess when I think of people being "hurt" I think of people in Somalia, Dahrfur, Iraq and South Texas. But, I spose our insights here are good for those interested in leaving the STFI, and this is a good place to discuss it. Sorry. Maybe the reason so many ExWays want to jump in here and help out so much is because while in TWI, they couldn't help out while In. -
Like a Coney Island hotdog with French's yellow mustard... Or a big old soft pretzel with French's yellow mustard. "Can't have one without the other...."

Well, at least he did in fact desire to get rid of a very serious problem in the form of MG and KAG. They may not be the root of the problem, but with those kinds of spewings and rantings, I think it was a good place to start. If I am driving toward a cliff in my truck, the first thing I have to do is stop before I go over. And then, once calmed down, would then begin to examine just why I ended up in such a perdicament in the first place. If I'd not stopped my destructive direction, it would then be too late to do any self examination. Tom, I added a little more to my previous post... -

And so, offering his personal phone number is not an effort to communicate? I just don't get that. It is an attempt to communicate. And, I see nothing wrong with him wanting to know the names of his accusers. Shoot, we know his name. I rarely offer my personal phone number over the Net. But he did.... And Tom, "glee" is the wrong word I spose, but, it's like; "Look! More scandal which we can now get all worked up over! Get self righteous over! And look! JAL has come here, but, he didn't respond the way we want him too! Such scandal!" Which just seems to be "feeding frenzy-ish", where the participants join in because they like it.. -
ROW, I think it was our 1st year in rez when we named our twigs. I remember that it was the Coccoon Chuckers who won the kite making/flying contest, and that Linda McD thought their kite flight deserved to win, because despite it's odd shape, they all ran underneath it "whooshing" their arms up under it just "willing it to fly", and by george, it finally took off and flew! Our kite flew just beautifully from the start, being of a conventional design. What made our kite unique was that the kite winder for the string was half of one of my fishing poles with the reel on it. It flew way up there from the start. but, it was only the effort of two of us, whereas George Cummella's whole Coccoon Chucker twig built it together and flew it together with what appeared to be some amazing believing. Their kite kept dying on the vine and sinking back down and they would all "woosh it" back up there by yelling "Fly Fly"! And finally, as if by Divine Intervention that big old bag of wind that didn't even look like a kite took off and stayed aloft with the greatest of ease.... And hey,YIDGTC, remember the card board cars? Too much fun. Yeah, to be truthful I too would have to say that my time in the Tenth Corps was a helluva lotta fun. I went in for the discipline. It was like here I am, throw it at me, I can take it, for, I need it. I was oblivious to the ugly underbelly of the ministry, and generally associated with those whom I found to be a blessing. And so ROW and YIDGTC, you have me wondering as to who it is you are...

Let's all go wilding on the STFI! I dunno. It seems weird to me that many here want to dissect STFI/CES and prove that it is just another consortium of charletons. Now, as weird as the personal prophesy thing seems to me, and definitely never something that I would allow myself or family to be subject to, it seems weird that so many here want to judge the hearts of ALL STFI personel. No doubt there IS some garbage heart mixed in there, but I do believe that the core of this ministry (STFI) was set up to help others, and not just "take their money". I do believe that this STFI is now a ministry in crisis. But just like with TWI, I believe that CES was started with the benefit of God's people in mind. I hope they can work out their problems and do their best to preach and teach only that which is accurate from God's Word. But, I am of the biblical opinion that this "personal prophesy doctrine" needs to go away for them to achieve the unity that they seek. And, I must say, the "prophecies" from KAG were as spooky and weird as it gets, no doubt about it. It's just that, well, I'm sorry, but it seems like there is a "glee' over all of this stuff here. It's like, the stuuf is so salacious and scandalous (and it is) that it looks like a feeding frenzy is where all can jump on that band wagon and say; "I am not on that wagon! I am on the wagon that is not that wagon!". It just seems to be a different wagon, but still a wagon.... -
Suda! What a spread! And, my wife makes lemon chess pie, but, just what is "chess" pie? Just curious...

Yams are a bright orange, and when cooked have a different texture than sweet potatoes.. To me, yams seem to be a bit "gelatinous" whereas the sweet potato is a more "fibrous". Plus, sweet potatoes are yellow and not orange. If a produce person tries to sell you "sweet potatoes" that are orange, then he/she doesn't know their veggies. SPs are inmistakeably yellow, and many times, more elongated (like the root that they are) than round. And man oh man. Bake those babies just like a regular baked potato and dress it with whatever is your favorite baked potato topping, and mmm...mmmm...mmm! When I bake them, I poke each sweet potato full of holes with a fork to relieve the pressure within as it bakes. And, you know when it's done when you can easily shove a knife clean through without any resistance. If you haven't cooked them all the way, they're no good. And of course, there are lots of other ways to do them up... :)

Nice Rummy! And yes, sweet potatoesslathered with butter, Spike and pepper. We are big Spike fans here. And we'll have some good Aussie Merlot too. And, it's way cool to have all of the kids home. My daughter, US Merchant Marine (engineer), is home from her ship the Matanuska, and will be with us for two weeks. Man, dinner will be fine! We're just finishing up opening the presents, and having the traditional lemon frosted cinnamon rolls and bacon. Nice combo, and a great tradition.. Well, it's still only1050 hrs, so, I'll just have to do with the Bailey's in the coffee. But why yes Fellowshipper, by all means, a nice "colddddd onnnnnnea' as you'd say. Ya knbow it's funn Fellowshipper, mt whole family uses alot of "Rondo-isms" around this house.

I missed existence two (haha!). But, I too was a spelling bee winner. But it was fourth grade. Once, in a mixed class of fourth to sixth graders we had a cool spelling bee. The way we did it was to split the three classes down the middle with equal mounts of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders on each side of the room. And then we commenced, going down the line. After not too long, everyone on my side was gone but me. And then, I whittled down the whole other side except for sixth grader Tracy Schlecter. And then it was a face off. And I never beat her. But, she never beat me. It went on untill the bell rang and school was out. And so, our teacher proclaimed us both the winners. I felt great because I was but a fourth grader, and Tracy the sixth grader was one of the brightest in school. I shook her hand and she congratulated me, and it was like reaaly cool. :)

We are having a very white Christmas here in Juneau, Alaska. It has snowed on and off for weeks, and it was snowing yesterday too. It's still pitch dark out at 0833, so, I don't know if it's snowing at the moment. But I know that it is white out. We had a record snowfall last month with over fifty inches, and this month we've had only about thirty inches. And so, yes, it's a beautiful white Christmas for us. And so, I hear the kids! It's near time to open the presents!! Bye!

Okay, so I said I like Hellman's, and it is true. But when it comes to buying mayo on a regular basis, we buy Saffola brand mayonnaise. It doesn't have all of the bad stuff in it. It is not Vegan mayo, but it is healthier than your basic commercial mayo like Hellman's, Kraft, and the rest. Check it out: http://www.saffola.com/mayo.htm So Vegan, is the vegan mayo to your taste because of the no eggs in it?

Umm, yeah Rocky...

Ah yes, the Pizza Wars. Well, I don't care what Dooj and that other guy said; "I Love Pineapple Pizza!" And, Peruser said: Whoa! Peruser! PB with Mayo!! I haven't heard of Mayo/Miracle Whip on PB sammiches in a long time! However, I didhave WOW bro (Jeff Ludwig) who, when making a baloney sammich would put mayo AND peanut butter on his sammich. And ya know, he actually got me to try it, and, I liked it! But then again, we were perpetually starved out WOWs that year, and it seemed like anything tasted good...Haha! But then again, maybe I'll try it again... :) But yeah, I like either/or. I kinda like the sweetness of miracle whip. But when it comes to mayo, I am with Fellowshipper when it comes to the Brand. Hellman's is the s!uff!

I swear to you George, I didn't read this smoked salmon comment until after I posted on the "mayo thread" about smoked salmon. Something cosmic is goin on here dude..... :)

Ya know LG, when I was in Oklahoma, I was turned on to the greatness of Hellman's Mayonaisse by none other than Fellowshipper here who just now posted his preference for Hellman's Mayonaisse. I remember that Fellowshipper used to say the word "Hellman's" in a manner in which it sounded like "Helllmmmuuuhhhnnnns" all drawn out like. Back in Oak City (OKC), he was very preferential about his mayo..... And dagnabbitt! When I was in the mayonaisse section of the grocery store, with YOU Fellowshipper in mind, I wanted to buy Hellman's. I looked high and low, thinking about you and....."Helllmmmuuuhhhnnnsss...." But there was none. And so, on a whim, since I, (like Groucho Marx Jr), like them both, decided to try it out on my Oklahoma born son Riley. Well, he tried some and says he "hates it". I guess he and Jardinero can go camping together with no problem. And hey Groucho, we agree on something! Kewel! It is a fine and merry Christmas Eve! LG, get you some Hellman's mayo and some smoked salmon, mix it together and put it on some Triscuits. If you want some smoked salmon, I would be honored to send you some via the US Mail. Seriously, post me your address, and I'll send you some. I caught them myself, smoked them up in my home made smoker and have them all vacuum sealed good and proper. It's the good stuff. Coho. :) JL

Ya know, I have always liked Miracle Whip as well as Mayonaisse. But, I am aware of the fact that there has always been Dissension between the Two Different Camps. And so, which Camp are you in? I bring this up, because, on a whim, when my fourteen year old boy asked me to pick up some Mayonaisse, I decided, while looking at my choices, to get some Miracle Whip instead. And Lo and Behold! He revolted from the start and said that it was no good and tasted nothing like Mayonaisse! And so, what say you? And George/LG, I want your opinion also! JL

Well, you better have gotten them all right RAF, for you are a Journalist! And, I got them all right. And geez, my self esteem is so "up there" at the moment. It gave me a good feeling of self worth... And NOW, can we talk about "two, too, and to"? That one really bugs me.:"I saw that moron to!!" To what? I saw that moron "to the door" and kicked him out because I didn't like the movie? In fact, I think there were "too of them!" WTF? <_<

I say "Way to go NLL!" Ya know, I have worked out in the Arctic Bush on the Bering Sea coast amongst the Eskimos, and I am very sorry to report that a large number of those people seem to have no regard for their beasts. Yes, I know that they are Indigenous Peoples who know Mother Earth better than most and who treat wildlife with reverence and respect, but sadly, this is not true when it comes to their dogs. Long ago, their sled dog teams were utilized as a means of transportation, and for the sheer reason of having a "healthy car" (read that "dog team"), they took care of their dogs and the dogs in turn got to do what they LOVE to do which is to pull a sled and run run run! Yeah, they really love to pull and run. They live for it. But with the advent of the snow machine and the "quad" four wheeler, the use of sled dogs has dropped off dramatically. Dogs are used mainly in sled dog races, and naturally, in the Last Great Race, the Iditarod. And since the Eskimos and Athabaskans up here have whole heartedly embraced the white man's motorized ways, the need for the dogs just simply is not there anymore. And really, it is far simpler to fire up the quiet Kawasaki four wheeler http://www.monkeyads.com/imagepage2.asp?th...1__132186_t.jpg than to feed the yelping team of dogs, scoop the crap (which many do not), and in general spend a lot of energy taking care of them. And so, these modern contrivances are in a fact a blessing to the Alaska Natives out in the Bush who live a very rigorous lifestyle. The sad thing is that because the sled dog has been such a large part of their culture, many of them still have thier dog teams, although they rarely if ever use them. What they do do (no pun intended), is put them on a short chain next to a small dog house with a blanket or straw in it (and many many times I have seen no blanket or straw), and the dog spends virtually all of it's life at the end of the chain or in it's box still at the end of it's chain. I remember one poor dog in a box in the yard of the house next to where I was working. It was always on it's chain even when we showed up at six in the morning to work, and of course it was dark as it was an Alaskan winter at 15 below. The dog would bark at us, even though I tried to befriend him. One afternoon, a little Eskimo girl of about eight years of age came out and threw the dog some frozen chum salmon, and began talking to the dog in a sweet little kids voice. The dog in turn strained to the end of his chain whimpering and trying to get to her to be petted and loved, but the little girl would only get close enough so that the dogs nose was a foot from her outstretched hand. And so, watching this, I finally came over and said to her, "Why don't you pet him and let him know that you love him? And she wrinkled her little nose and said; "Oh no! He's stinky!" And so I asked her if he ever went inside so you could give him a bath, and she told me the same thing; "Oh no! He's stinky!" And after some more questions, I learned that the dog simply stayed chained to his box (with no blanket), and that was that. So sad. And it's really sad when you see a whole "dog lot". A dog lot is simply ten to twenty dogs with their respective short chains and dog houses (I call 'em boxes), all spaced far enough apart so that the dogs can't intermingle or fight, which they will do. Now, the "dog lot" thing seems bad when you see it. But, if the owner cares for the dogs AND USES THEM AS SLED DOGS, then it is not a bad deal. They love to run and that's a fact. And after a day of good hard work, they are happy to eat, curl up in their house and sleep. But when they are simply there for decoration or whatever, and are never worked, it is very sad because they simply spend their life on a chain. My wife and I helped to bust a kennel that raised Giant Alaskan Malamutes, and we enjoyed it immensely when we found homes for those wonderful dogs. My wife was on the board of the Haines Animal Rescue Kennel (HARK- http://www.aptalaska.net/~hnsark/PAGES/ARKHOME.HTML ), and I was a volunteer, and we enjoyed shutting that dude down and finding the dogs homes. Anyway, a subject dear to my heart. Way to go NLL!

Hi there George. How is your day today? I hope you are as well as can be and as comfortable as possible. Well, I have a question. But first of all, I wanted to mention that my Dad had had cancer in his jawbone, and had it cut out, an aluminum jaw section placed back in, and of course he received radiation treatment. The results were that the cancer left his jaw, but he lost the use of his tastebuds, which was pretty hard on him, because naturally, he liked to eat, drink coffee, and the like. The only thing that he could enjoy in his later days was smoking his pipe. He had smoked his pipe ever since he had joined the Army in 1940, smoked throughout the War, and continued even after the jaw cancer, and finally the lung cancer that took out a whole lung. He even smoked that damned pipe after that surgery. He died in '92, and so, I spose that means he smoked for 52 years. Anyway, according to the medical people who took care of him at the Bethseda Naval Medical Hospital, his particular cancers were directly related to his pipe smoking. He smoked Prince Albert, and we kids always enjoyed the scent of his pipe when he fired up a blue cloud from his briar pipe. As kids, little did we know... And so, is the cancer that you have related to tobacco at all? Did you chew? I am just curious. I have two kids (daughter 21, son 19,) who smoke cigs, and I was thinking of showing them your initial post. I hope that this wasn't too personal a question for you, but you seem to not mind talking about it so I thought I would ask. Have a great day, and Merry Christmas to you sir, JL

Thanks all y'all. Well, she is doing just fine, and we only await the report on the biopsy. The doc was encouraged by the looks of the mass that it was very benign looking. And so, we simply expect that it is. But thank you all and Merry Christmas!

My son was busted for the very same thing, except she was fifteen and he was eighteen. She said she was sixteen which would have made it legal, and well, she offered the bj, and being a boy overflowing with testosterone, well, he "obliged her". Then, she started bragging about it on the internet in a local Juneau chat place about how she had "bagged a senior". And the cops, who monitor the place all the time, simply picked up the story with his name included, went to the high school, told him what they knew, he admitted it without thinking to asking for a lawyer, and boom, he was busted! Fortunately, the girls' parents were flabergasted that their daughter would offer such a thing (they read the transcript from the Net), and didn't want to press charges. The DA, saw that there wasn't that much difference in the ages of the two, and also saw that the fifteen year old girl looked to be nineteen and not fifteen, and basically dropped the case. However, my son could very well have ended up like this poor kid, caught in the spider web of this evil old world...Geez. It's hard to believe that that poor kid will stay in JAIL for this incident. Evil man, evil..... Hopefully this kid will be able to appeal again and get it straightened out...

Well George, I have read all of the posts, and now it is my turn I spose. And, well, I am deeply saddened too. But your strength and courage reflected in your initial post is so admirable and honorable, and I thank you for that. Anyway, it's all been said here already, but I do want you to know that you and your family are in my prayers Brother. And I hope that today is a good day for you. Vaya Con Dios, Kevin Nye
