  1. All kinds! I have enjoyed telling of funny things that happened to me in the way corps. Also of incidents that have happened out here in real life, funny or not so funny. There is a thread down in "The Soap Opera Continues" that I started about a local young lady by the name of "Honnalee" who was wearing a shirt where she works that says "made in vagina". I shared the incident which caused no small stir here at the GSCafe, and I was accused by many of being a young gal chaser and adulterer. It was quite a raucous thread. There was opinions on it that ranged from A to Z. And now that this "new civility" seems to have come upon us here, I am wondering how the mods would have dealt with that thread had it been started today. Personally, I am enjoying the new and more civil Groucho Marx Junior! :)
  2. So George, was the chair comfortable? :biglaugh:
  3. Shoot, I still remember the sound of the milkman's truck at 4:30 in the morning. I also remember those small aluminum boxes on peoples' porches where they put their empty milk bottles for the milkman to replace and put the full ones in. I remember seeing the cream on the top and the "paper lids" that you pulled after you shook it up. Remember those nice big glass milk bottles? The milk seemed to better then too. :) And there was no Nintendo, Play Station, IPODs, computers, MySpace. Kids played outside all day long after school and on Saturdays and and Sundays. Yeah, I'm gettin old, but have many fond memories of those simpler times...
  4. "Turds float..." Rev. Gerald Wrenn And: Confucious say; "Man who stand on toilet high on pot..."
  5. Yeah, I guess I am finally getting up there. I'm fifty, and I stopped being able to walk on my hands back when I was forty five. :(
  6. Conversely, the abuse doesn't erase the good times, for me. It hasn't and it won't, ever.
  7. I am proud to say that I was never on staff. I was always proud of the fact that I was on the field, way closer to the Real World. I had jobs, learned and employed my trade as a sheetrocker, became a contractor, earned money which made for "more harmony in the home...." :)
  8. Ya know, I have a story that fits right in with that! I was playing about a month ago when a woman did that to me while I was playing. It was quite nice, really...
  9. I back handed a woman once. She was my WOW sister. She had already ripped my shirt off and shredded it, and clawed my back and chest and spit in my face. AND, she was one tough gal! When we used to wrestle for fun, there was no way I could wrestle her "like a girl" because she was strong and athletic. And so, I had to, when "rasslin fer fun", I had to nearly man handle her or she'd whup me! And of course as a guy, I couldn't let that happen! But back to when I had to smack her: We'd been in the kitchen, and I had begun to put some ketchup on my scrambled eggs. At this point "TJ" came in, saw me using the ketchup and grabbed it and jerked it away, yet I still hung on. She yells; "That's MY ketchup"! And I yanked it back and said; "No TJ, that is OUR ketchup. Kathy and I just bought it from the store with family fund money". And she ripped it away again saying; "MY KETCHUP! I'm on a diet and you stole it from my bag of food in the fridge!" And I yanked it back saying; "No TJ, you are flat out wrong! Check your bag in the fridge!" But then, she went bonkers and started clawing away at me, ripping off my shirt, scratching me and trying to kick me in the you know whats! So, I grab her wrists to gain control of her and caught a knee just to the right of my you know whats! And then my other WOW Sistah, Kathy, the Fam Coordinator comes in screaming "TJ! In The name of Jesus Christ! Stop it! In the name of Jesus Christ! In the name of Jesus Christ! Stop it!! But TJ kept on keepin on and the kitchen was getting all tore up and finally, I let go of one of her wrists and slapped her hard across the face. And boom. She stopped right away, and walked stoically to the phone got on the phone to our Branch Coordinator and complained to her saying; "What do you do when your WOW brother won't return your love"!? Man, it was weird! When I got on the phone, my BC, a woman, teased me about "TJ" having a crush on me. Man what a weird deal that was! Should I have slapped her? I dunno. But, it did work better than my family coordinator's Name of Jesus Christ-ing...
  10. I just heard that Bumpy got kicked outa here. What did he get kicked out for? Certainly not for the quote that you just quoted Krysilis?
  11. Pawtucket said: And I say: Fair enough.
  12. Pawtucket said; Well that certainly seems to be fair, really. But I ask you, what if someone tells a story of a fine and wonderful time that they had in The Way Corps or as a WOW and then gets lambasted as a "Wierwille apologist" with a "sophomoric attitude" because they have chosen to focus on the "good times" (rather than the bad times) that they had in The Way Ministry or in The Way Corps? What if the person who tells a story with a positive twist is accused of "Way brain-ism" which is tantamount to de-railing the mission of the Grease Spot Cafe and therefore is still an "automaton" and akin to Wierwille and his "evil minions"? Will you not tolerate those kind of attacks also? I can't count the times I have told a positive story here about times in The Way and then been outright attacked for doing so. I hope the wind blows both ways if there is to be a more intensive amount of moderation (censorship?) here...
  13. I don't know man, I think that if the whacked biotch on the right were not spewing her sick venom and twisted version of God's Word, I would rather listen to the gal on the left! I think the gal on the left was just appalled and went on the attack. Hard to blame her, although, strident female voices are in fact tough to listen to. But, and plus, the Fox gal is way better lookin' ( ), even if the old sea hag on the right called her a "bimbo....."
  14. Hola Tomas! El Hombre Extraño! ¡Feliz cumpleaños! Y, Muchos Muchos Mas mi hermano! Jonny Lingo
  15. Hi Belle! Hope you had a great Christmas and holiday season and all of that! Mmmmwwwaaahhhh! And so, I'll look into a story I can post. A while back I had one in mind that I was just going to post in a thread of it's own. I'll have to look back into the "attic of my mind" and try and remember which one it was. But thank you! And love you too! JL
  16. At this moment "Season Of The Witch" by Donovan
  17. Well. There is only one solution. Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you". We have all fallen short, moi included, but this is the way to go. Being nice is nice, and an opposing opinion can be presented in a debate without name calling and etc. I think that the biblical verse (somewhere in there) that says that we should be yielding in insignificant matters would help also, as far as keeping the peace goes. And if that is not a verse, but just an old TWI adage, it is a good point to live by. And Danny, I was speaking to Groucho in particular, in that I have been on the receiving end of some extremely vicious verbal assaults coming from him in the past. But, you probably didn't know that. And so, I hope that his epiphany will serve him well and that he will be blessed with his efforts to help stop the distasteful discourse that so often rear it's ugly head here at the GSCafe. I think it is wonderful that he started this thread, and that he will endeavor to do that which he is promoting. You go Groucho! You go boy!
  18. Well I hope you begin to practice what you're preachin' Groucho. JL
  19. Satori, I like the "Santa Claus Girl" that I found when I clicked your YouTube menu deal. She sings really well! And yeah, both Websites, JR's and Paw's are worlds apart, but serve their purposes...
  20. I'm still here! :) But for a number of you, I know that's not a blessing. I have posted far less frequently in the last year though. I too have seen the "clique" thing, and never liked it much. I have enjoyed that site of John Richeson's where there is no sniping and fighting. Shoot, even Rocky and I get along over there, which is very refreshing to be sure! Rocky is a moderator there ya know. Anyways: Happy New Year!
  21. I live for the present and prepare for the future. I have learned greatly from the past but have left the junk behind! Don't have time to worry bout past mistakes, because there is too much goin' on right now! And, hey there Cowgirl! Hope all is well witchoo! JL
  22. I watched them both, and I'd never heard of either three before! Too funny! And so, I'd like to thank you Dave. I am wondering why this particular humor is relative to Jonny Lingo though. Is it because I once posted the "Ebonics Crimmus Pome"? Or, because I have posted some off color things from time to time? Any way, They were both pretty funny vid clips, and the vegetarian guy, the ventriloquist I mean, is very talented. It was also nice to see the audience enjoy it and even the black guy laughing at "Sweet Daddy D". I think it's great when we can all laugh at our cultural differences, for we all certainly have them. Anyway, thanks and have a Happy New Year! Jonny Lingo
  23. Why thank you Waysider! And a Harpy New Year to you too! Yeah, I am trying to figure out how to put a song I recorded on some "sharing file" so I can share it here. I did a rendition of "Georgia On My Mind" with a friend which I am proud of. Maybe folks here would like to hear it some time. Anywho, being kind is always way better! JL
  24. Hi! I finally just read through this whole thread. Personal attacks are bad. Being kind is good. I am guilty of both. When an argument gets heated, I think that because we are not literally "face to face" for reals, it is more tempting to lash with the tongue (with typed words, in this case, i.e. flame), but the words are still hurtfull. I guess part of the thing that upsets people who still try to hold to the good that they were taught in The Way, is that there are people here who simply think "oh, you are still Way Brained, you are still duped, you are in denial". In other words, "your whole life is wrong and therefore a waste". Which of course couldn't be further from the truth. Conversely it is just as wrong to say to those who were personally hurt that, "You are just making this crap up, I never saw it". And so, when wrong accusations are made, it gets very personal and it hurts. Anyway, carry on and have a Happy New Yew Year! JL
