OM, I'm not suggesting you throw anything out that is profitable for you. Simply that, by themselves, good things happening in an organization do not guarantee anything about it's founder. That's all. Personally, a lot of good happened to me in TWi. Was it due to VPW? Not necessarily as he was no longer alive when I first heard of TWI. People I met, however, were great blessings to my life. Many of the teachings I heard over the years were wonderful and emotionally inspiring. The damage done to me and my family, however, is still being repaired long after the uplifting is gone. Like you, I try to cleave to that which is good. We may be in violent agreement on this. ;-) JT

Something that always bothered me in TWI was the Way Corps teaching ENDLESSLY about outreach but never bringing anyone to twig themselves. I took some time to think back all of the corps leaders I had and can't remember them EVER bringing a new person with them. Was it just me. Did your corps leaders actually witness and bring new folks to twig/fellowship?

OM, Doesn't change his questionable credentials. Even VP taught that the adversary can do good if it suits his purposes. (Prospering Seed boys, for example) If you believe what he taught, some good things happening mean nothing by themselves. JT

The Body of Christ = The Body who still tolerate me. Unequally yoked = Not being mad at anyone I don't like Abundant sharing = Giving till you have less than me. Herr Shpinmeister (OM), You have yet again made the victims of deceit the focus. If his credentials were invalid then that's it. They were bogus. Let's take TWI and VPW out of the picture. If I am driving down the road and a police car comes up behind me with it's light on, do I assume it's a police officer? Of course. If someone calls himself a doctor and claims a strong acedemic background in biblical research does it give him ADDED credibility to most honest, trustworthy folks? Most likely. I don't have be foolish enough to believe him just because of his degree to make his actions wrong. The focus here is on the merits of his credentials. Whether I believe him or not does NOT change the dishonesty. The oldest political trick in the book when you can't or don't want to answer the question is to redirect the conversation elsewhere. Simon, I'm fairly sure the church's code of ethics would have no bearing on a case other than to be used to sway a jury. ("He violated his own church rules!") No, I think that to even consider a case, one would have to approach it like the Parkers. Focus on non-religious issues such as a minister's position as a counselor, etc. There was a time when JT

This is the opening line of the "Why it's not an affair" article. The use of terms like "exposed" imply that the pastor is simply engaging in sexual relations and intends to hide the fact. It doesn't seem to address in any way the topic of decent, Godly dating between two mature, single adults.
