"Wrong?" I never heard that word used by TWI of themselves. No, they just got "more clear understanding." :D-->

Belle, Thanks. I knew it was a typo but couldn't guess which word Sky meant. I don't know that I've seen that word used in that fashion. Oh, well, I get what is being said. JT

Can I forgive me? Already have. The amazing thing is that God can still choose to forgive me. Now that's cool! It is still beyond my comprehension that he could love me so much. :-) And this is reason #8,935,345,535,465,532.... why JT isand should not be God. ;-)

I haven't been part of this thread much and haven't kept up either. HOWEVER, I will say that I am very glad Catcup is here and has added a lot for me. Don't know RG as well but have never had any negative impressions. Neither statement implies we have agreed on everything. If I wanted that, I could have stayed a Wayfer. Trolls? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.... JT

Caution: Blasphemy (to some) Coming: (Cue ominous music) In some situations, I think what would my parents do. I have even thought of comments from people here at GS in certain situations because they actually dealt specifically with the item at hand! (Exie, Catcup, WhiteDove, Raf, for example) As Jesus was likely never a woman (duh!), his life didn't cover EVERY freakin' thing there is. What would Jesus do with a teenage daughter? Uhh... Bible's kind of short on detail. Now when it came time to buy a Honda... ;)-->

Exactly. Well said. Gee, it sounds like we may have met the same "new and improved Paul(s)". ;)--> I think it's safer to stick with WDJS or WDPS. (What did Jesus/Paul Say) JT

Abi, That's because they are perpetual renters. No money to repaint before leaving. JT

If it is character or simply judging another as being bad/useless, etc. then I disagree with the concept in general. If if it judging another's actions then it absolutely acceptable and necessary. Society must be able to define minimal standards of behavior. JT
-
Satori, Do you mean literally judging another's character or their actions?

The Way said that there are 900 promises in "God's word"
JustThinking replied to year2027's topic in About The Way
Belle, I think if most people were asked how you could turn something like that into criticism, most normal folks would be stumped. Only a truly twisted mind could do that so well. JT -
Hmm... Bible? Accused sexual predator? Tough choice. Not! :D-->

Hmm... WWMJD? I know, I'll follow mj! ;-) Gee, I have to buy a car. I wonder which one mj would buy? Well, there are people saying Jesus would never buy an SUV so... maybe he would have bought a Prius to haul 12 guys around with him? -->

I think you're right about applying rules to others. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone with WWJD stickers, shirts, necklace, etc. trying to boss others around. It is tough to put my finger on but something about the whole idea just bothers me. I guess it seems like a license to put words into someone else's mouth. In this case, Jesus. Seems like he did ok speaking up for himself. ;-)

mj, Completely understand and agree. What you are saying is very reasonable to me. However, some actually try to make decisions in their daily life at a level of detail that is, to me, an extreme and kind of scary. Your approach certainly can answer general questions about life. However, so much of daily life requires a lot more than that. The danger is, instead of defaulting to whatever The Way Irrational tells them, they pick their fantasy version of Paul, Jesus, etc. That is nothing more than another way to hide behind something and avoid responsibility. The Way said that there are 900 promises in "God's word"
JustThinking replied to year2027's topic in About The Way
Missed TWI in the 70s and most of the 80s. I can tell you we didn't hear much about the Promises of God under Craig in the 90s. If we did, it usually ended up as condemnation. Something like "well, there are over 900 promises of God! How many are you living?" Really. They turned even THAT into a stick to hit people. -
Sky, What is "coorelate?"

I find it VERY amusing that some would try to predict what ANYONE would do in a given situation. Why not say "What would Mr. Hammeroni do?" Love his posts, read them when I see them. Can I "predict" his next thought based on them? HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt it. Won't even try. I try to make it a point to know what I don't know. I have over 1000 posts on this site. In quantity of words, I may have more here than Amos. (OT author) Paul still has me beat though. Can you tell me my views about sports, finance, abortion or anything else based on my posts? If you REALLY believe you can, you shouldn't mind betting your paycheck. Any takers? :-)

I agree with Oak. Just having a central administrative office is not necessarily a sign of evil.

Sky, Even when I was in, I had no idea what the staff headcount was. Are these guesses based on recent knowledge? Just curious.
