Wishing, How was the mood there? My last ACS was a few years ago and the only real excitement I saw was meeting up with old friends. The teachings themselves were kind of dull. Old stuff rehashed. It sounds like you got the same thing.

This is what happens when you don't keep up with a thread. You find a quote like this and wonder what the heck is going on. :D--> Like DM, I received good advice over the years. Some folks were in TWI and some weren't. It would be a stretch (ok, fantasy) to say that HQ could take credit for them. Most of it came from just normal "nobody's" like myself. Also, if I ever need a conversation starter for a party, I can always try to do that "vacuum in straight lines or squares in the carpet" trick. That's pretty handy. ;)-->

THW, I went to the one in DC. I didn't register though. Just walked in. No one told me ahead of time about registering. I happened to be there for work and a friend took me. It actually was kind of weird. The workshops were actually useful. The main teachings were pretty defensive. The only thing I remember was L***y P***arello teaching that we don't "preserve the Word, the Word preserves us." It was a swipe at the folks who left who said that is what they were doing.

On a serious note, I cannot imagine sitting through yet another painful screeching series. Those were a big help in leaving. The need to try to come up with something positive without lying got harder by the year. They were just so empty. Nothing there.
