  1. Shaz said: Gee, his butt kissed daily, lots of expensive gifts, "Hail to the Chief" played, a plane, motorcycle, throngs of adoring Wayfers and unquestioning loyalty. How he could ever become like that? -->
  2. After the "TWI illegally identifying GSC members?" thread, I had to wonder if TWI was using other means to "watch" former members. Oops, no members but the accused, uh, board. So, were you asked to gather information in any way on former members including your friends, family, etc.? Or were you even asked about them when it seemed "out of the blue?" I did see corps asking about people in a seemingly innocent manner that had come up in meetings. Amazing what you hear, btw, when you babysit for your LC. :)--> I was asked to report on the few times about I saw former wayfers. Where, when, the content of the conversation, etc. Even where they might be living (still in the area, not actual address), did they say anything about Der Vayyyyy. I was a nobody though so didn't know any leaders that well who left. Just other little folks like me. JT
  3. Bluzeman, My pleasure. As bad as TWI has been, this would be a new category of low. Maybe when the used to talk about rise and expansion, it was referring to ethically questionable behavior? JT
  4. Bluze & Abi, Even if it's not illegal, it's probably a good thing to make folks aware of. JT
  5. It sounds like the solution is to just go buy a stamp? JT
  6. Bluzeman posted on the "New TWI Website" thread after responding to my question: Please Note: This does not mean that by posting HERE that you are at risk. This is just someone who happens to post here. I thought this needed more exposure. It got buried in that thread quickly due to other events. If this is true then it seems like a potential lawsuit waiting to happen. JT
  7. socks, Is it a growl or more of a warble? ;)--> JT
  8. def, (Shaking head...) Great example. It sounds as if you did the right thing. I wonder how many others were given the same type of guidance? I think that did make us "insiders" in a small way. JT
  9. I could look at this two ways. An insider is someone who knows EVERYTHING. (Very small group) OR, an insider is someone who has some knowledge of a group's secrets. That would probably make many folks here an insider to some degree. For example, how many of us went witnessing and lied about being interested in someone? We KNEW that was a common practice of TWI. Does that make us an insider? JT
  10. Evan! I didn't need that this early in the morning! Coffee's still brewing. ;)-->
  11. A song? How about Cher's "Believe?" "Do you belieeeeeeve the Waaaay has any love..." Sing it with me socks! ;)-->
  12. Wow, I never heard about this! HCW, thank you for telling the tale. Kudos to my fellow ADD'ers who supported your serial approach. I can't do the 3/4 page posts. System failures occur.
  13. Sadly, I didn't realize it was The Way that WAS the problem. Until GS, I thought it was just limited to just about every corps guy I'd run into. How stupid was I? :(--> JT
  14. Maybe Craig should have been in the movie Groundhog Day? He wakes every day and it's the ROA and he has to go through POP again and again and again until he becomes a decent human being? Seems like he deserves it more than Bill Murray's character. Although I'm not sure that town in PA deserves to live through that. (Anyone know how to spell the town where the groundhog shows up? I can say it but the spelling is a challenge)
  15. Toad, Your posts are ribbiting. ;)-->
  16. I think Exie used that in her production of "Joseph and The Technicolor Dreamcoat." ;)-->
  17. Dabobbada, You probably could have stopped after the word "rationalized." It would explain much. JT
  18. Two thoughts: I wonder if it would make sense to set up a fund to hire an attorney to investigate this? It has been talked about on more than one occasion. Does anyone know if an attorney has ever been consulted on this and what the outcome was? JT
  19. Oak, :D--> :D--> :D--> :D--> I showed up after this whole thing so have no first-hand info. However, Ole Craig conned so many other folks later that I think it had to be going on before 1985. Craig conning people, that is. JT
  20. CM, Exie can sometimes be the housemom that keeps the boys from hitting each other too much. :)--> JT
  21. Mr H., You got it. Plus it makes the training sound like, well, training. As if there is some value and you need "more" of it. --> That and it DOES look bad when the whole corps class drives to graduation together. ;)--> JT
  22. Mr H. quotes: :D--> :D--> :D--> :D--> :D--> I nominate Mr. H to teach the Foundational Class on Understanding TWI! JT
  23. Well, these fine folks have to PAY to be there, don't they? I think I just figured out why this is being pushed. JT
