danteh1, I don't know if it's an issue of being qualified for the corpse as much as it is being dumb enough. So many wayfers I knew before I left were just going through the motions. Most seemed to have no desire to do more than the minimum. It was pretty obvious that the corpse that were there lived a pretty bad lifestyle. Overworked. Rarely paid. It was almost embarrassing to see their lack of physical abundance. (To use TWI terms) JT

For the corpse who LOVED to tell you what to do, it was pretty convenient. That way, they could feel like they were teaching you SOMETHING. So little of TWI worked in reality that they had to invent things like this. JT

What these examples show me is that many who were in TWI did not believe what was being taught. If they were really convinced, this wouldn't go on. JT

After Martindale left, I can't remember anyone getting the boot at all. Of course, all you had were tired, ancient grads for the most part. No new people and only AC grads over 40 make for a pretty obedient bunch. JT

I got to the point where I didn't share much about my life so it made it tough for them to say anything. They would try to dig once in a while but I kept it pretty generic. If it got sticky, I would thank them. Sort of took the steam out of the situation. If the person seemed to genuinely have my best interest at heart and approached me like a human being, I'd listen all day. Even two years ago, there were still some kind people around my area. Purposely ignoring reality but not harsh at all. In fact, I miss them very much. :(--> JT

The rain lecture I remember was that people should be prepared for bad weather. He didn't need to rant but the thought was actually reasonable. If I go camping during the rainy season in ANY area, I do bring rain gear. What I remember was people standing around during cool, rainy nights with NO coats, rain gear, boots, etc. If it was my son or daughter, I would tell them to get a raincoat too.
