  1. During LMC's reign, it was only mentioned to me when it came to New Years. Even then, it was suggested to be home early for safety reasons. (Drunks, etc.) It was all pretty reasonable to me. JT
  2. bliss, I gave that a lot of thought. My conclusion was that it seemed good when I got in too. But it wasn't. Not AT ALL. So why should I trust them now? Fool me once... The Way promotes a "how could I leave?" mentality. To me, the real question is why do they deserve to have a you and a man like your husband? What have THEY done to earn your time, love, financial support, etc.? If any group is asking so much from people they should EASILY be able to produce a huge and VERY SPECIFIC list of what they do for YOU. JT
  3. Funny you should mention that. We were taught (and I'm not making this up) that if we DID win something, it wasn't from God so would be excess. Translation: "It's abundance and therefore give it to us." God doesn't need the lottery, after all. JT
  4. Different administration so it doesn't apply. ;)--> Do they still make innies read the Way Rag and review it? For a while, every article had to be "taught" in fellowship. Translation: Pretend like you are teaching but you're REALLY just rereading chunks of it to people who have AlSO read it too! Is it me or that like play-acting a script to someone who just watched the movie for real? I'm not sure what is harder: doing it or pretending like you're actually learning something. DULLLLLLLL......... ZZzzz...... JT
  5. bliss, I think Lindy makes some great points about it being YOUR decision. When I left, it was without any drama at all. My attendance at fellowship got less and less frequent until I was just gone. I didn't hate anyone or have any desire to pick fights. It was just the right thing for me and my family. My wife and I are very happy and the kids are thrilled to be out of Way Prison. JT
  6. likeaeagle, Why did you leave in the first place? Just curious. JT
  7. I would rather they kept the pin and reimbursed me for all of my expenses for THEIR meetings!
  8. Now why would you associate a man with funny hair and receding hairline pounding on helpless vegetables with corpse night?! ;)--> JT
  9. Or it's a way to give them a medal of sorts. They've already started giving out attendance awards in the form of "You're still a FC after 10, 20, 30 years, etc." Really! What other satisfaction do they get? Browbeating the same, old, tired grads with the same old message? "Give us money and drag someone in here? And remember, darn it, you're PREVAILING!" Oh, that's a lot of fun. --> JT
  10. PE, I'm not sure I get your point. Not sure what a "radio hacker ministry" is or how a "glass parking lot" relates. Are you disagreeing with the paper because the author used a word you don't like? Lindy, You seem to have taken some bad things from his comments. (I love your family very much, BTW) Help me out here? JT
  11. Are you supposed to wear it where your old WOW pin went? --> What's old is new again, I suppose. JT
  12. With that few, perhaps "rearrange" or "shuffle" would be a better word? ;)--> JT
  13. I put it that way because some people with mental problems actually believe their own lies. They're delusional and think things happen that really don't. I'm not a psychologist so I don't know if that's lying or what. Anyone else know VP well enough to comment? JT
  14. Steve! :D--> Does anyone know how many corpse are left? Are they still losing more in a year than graduate? JT
  15. When I DID read the stupid thing, I couldn't tell you anything in it a month later. It was rarely useful. Same thing every issue. Give us money, sign up people and keep you wife/kids in line. Oh, yeah, be like somebody in the Bible. (Translation: listen to us no matter what we say) Was it just me? JT
  16. Somehow, I think he probably believed it. Was VP the kind of person who could be "read?" In other words, if you knew him well, could you tell if he was not being completely truthful. Some folks are better poker players than others. JT
  17. WG, I understand that VP gave permission for women in the 2nd WC to be ordained, if they so chose. However, I don't know if he performed the actual ordination. JT
  18. How low have you gone to have somebody telling you how to use a toilet brush?! "Yep, I'm serving God now boy..." --> Truly sad. If everyone is so wonderful, mature, fully trained, etc., shouldn't they know how to clean their OWN ROOMS?! JT
  19. Oh, I don't know. Sounds like a perfect position. ;)--> Better yet, they could clean ours to pay back the money spent on lawsuits! JT
  20. Who? A wayfer over 50 with no savings or career, that's who. It wouldn't surprise me if some felt stuck because TWI is their only support mechanism. Living on "Unwelfare." :)--> Hmmm... just might patent that term. ;)--> "Unwelfare." JT
  21. PJ, Dittos to TSRTS's comments. It's great to see you! JT
  22. I met a few good ones and few that were evil. Generally, just incompetent. Couldn't do much in the real world so they lived in Way Fantasy Camp where micro-managing was everything. Anyone want to buy a WHOLE LOT of unused weekly planning sheets? ;)--> (My time was mostly TWI-2)
  23. I wonder how many companies would tolerate one person hired to manage one other person? Maybe someone should stage a hostile takover of TWI and set it up for sale? ;)--> JT
