  1. WW, to you it might be an old story, but for those of us who are sexual abuse survivors, it is an ongoing story. I will never get over what was done to me as a child; many of us won't. I feel for anyone who has to deal with sexual abuse; it isn't something that most of us will ever resolve in our lifetimes.

  2. It's worth noting again that this is not unique to twi. The social mores of the organization allowed it. The self-justifying interpretations of several aspects of scripture dictated it.

  3. Good points. Oh and let's not forget Gallegher's new doctrine to ensure bondage to church leaders... My point actually had been not that they needed to continue off on hubris-like course of thinking they were coming up with the latest and greatest revelation from God since the First Century, but rather becoming humble and recognizing that they actually don't need to be pioneers in order to walk on the path of God's will.

  4. I don't know which would be a bigger trainwreck- that they don't expand their learning, or that they do. If they don't expand, they're just fossilized leftovers from twi. But when we see twi splinters "expand", we get mess-ups like endorsing Momentus and the "personal prophecy" thing. And they can't be fixed because they can't accept they'd mess up that badly- and worse, that people like us saw it coming a mile away, can identify the problem at a moment's glance, and begin outlining solutions.

  5. DWBH, I wanted to post that on some points you have slightly exaggerated or embellished the actual truth and facts somewhat.....and yet, I cannot ! You are absolutely right on EVERY POINT. Even the fact you noted ' around the world', or I should say, to the 'the uttermost parts of the earth' their poneros and kakos pervaded. "Twice around the world to make people twice the child of hell you yourselves are" - Jesus

  6. Thanks for posting this, Rocky. It made me laugh in amazement ... then sigh with disbelief ... the delusions continue ... really, the delusions began with VPW.

  8. I think Wierwille knew his behavior, drugging and raping women who trusted him, was not acceptible in society, and so he kept it secret. If he didn't think it was fundamentally okay for him to do it, then why did he keep on doing it for as long as he was physically able? What does it say about Wierwille's attitude toward God that the quack was comfortably able to continue drugging and raping God's daughters? What colossal arrogance for Wierwille to believe in his heart that God would tolerate the desecration of His daughters for Wierwille's NEEDS!?! And Wierwille's colossal arrogance tainted EVERYTHING he taught in PFAL. It poisoned his definition of man, it poisoned his definition of salvation, it poisoned his doctrine of a believer's standing and state, it poisoned his definition of Jesus Christ and it poisoned his understanding of God Himself! I've been out of TWI for 24 years, but I have continued to study the Bible. I am STILL finding ways in which PFAL perverted my understanding of God and His Word. PFAL was an expression of the perverted arrogance in Wierwille's heart. Love, Steve P.S. - and he high-jacked my credibility to sell the damned class.

  9. Right. Because the Penn State and Syracuse guys were sexual predators, and VP just used rufees to .... ummmmm, wait. Oh wait, because those guys used their positions of authority to advance their sexual sins, and VP ..... ummmmm, yeah. Yeah, we can all see exactly how different they are. When it is shining on the threefold children of hell that he trained up to take his place. And when it's on people recovering from the damage in their lives from his and others under his tutlege's sins. And when it's on helping people recover from the negative and far-reaching effects of being in a cult for major portions of their lives. See - it's not about johniam and any blindness, weakness, or hardheartedness he has. No, it couldn't be about that. Let's deflect and talk about rainbows and unicorns. See, don't we all feel much better now? We don't need a movie. It was already on an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. Some cult leader lives on a compound and sexually takes advantage of the women under his authority. The DA Alex gets trapped out there and gets locked up for not understanding where the cult leader is coming from. He repeatedly tries to convince her how great he is. Then Chuck Norris kicks all their @$$es. See - we can get it all done in a 40 minute episode. It's much better than your movie because the cult leader gets roundhouse kicked in the head, while in your movie you pick on all the victims and excuse the cult leader. That book was mainly intended to help a very hurt and damaged girl recover from both sexual and spritual abuse. The person that abused her was VP. You see, when people are abused like that, telling the truth about it so that the abusers' sins are exposed helps them heal. People like you that belittle their story, blame them, and enable the abuser actually keep them from healing properly. So you inflict a similar damage on them by your hardheartedness that they originally suffered. Wow, talk about reach, touch and help. The Word is not negated by VP's actions. I really don't understand how you can't seperate out the Word of God from "the Word he (VP) taught". You see, they are different things. Jesus Christ said that no other foundation can a man lay except on him. Jesus Christ had no corruption in his heart like VP. He didn't live a poor witness like VP did. He didn't set up an organization of his followers to repeat, seal, and magnify his sinful ways. No, the Word of God as taught by Jesus Christ had and has much more positive influence. VP was a charlatan. He was used by the adversary. VP, by good words and fair speeches, deceived many. VP was a wolf in sheep's clothes. VP was of the category that Jesus and the apostles and authors of the Bible warned the readers and followers of the faith to avoid.

  10. vpw criticized hypocrites who cherry-picked the verses they wanted and skipped the verses they didn't like. Then, of course, vpw WAS a hypocrite who cherry-picked the verses he wanted and glossed over the verses he didn't like. He'd acknowledge them lightly in public but never seem to bring them up when discussing conduct of leaders and so on. vpw was quite experienced at finding verses that he could DISTORT to make it sound like they supported what he wanted to believe. In private, he "found" a verse that said God was ok with ORGIES- although they weren't His optimal choice, He would ACCEPT them. So it should surprise no one that a verse that says "no condemnation" would be creatively interpreted to mean that no instance of GUILT should ever remain after doing anything, no matter how sinful an action was. vpw moved the boundaries of interpreting Scripture so that Christians were allowed to sin a lot so long as they didn't feel guilty about it. And he championed that position.
