  1. I want to post up some personal information on my son. Those of you who are still in and lurk here may know me, and let the witness of God's goodness stand! My son was born with little kidney function and eventually was on dialysis over two years. Though he stayed healthy, he was diagnosed with end stage renal disease. When in the way international I was taught (to paraphrase) that God worked in the functioning household - which of course equated to the way international. If you were outside of the household (a.k.a outside TWI) God was severely limited in what he could do for you because you had turned your back on God and his true household. Obviously, this is a lie. I left the way after having a very hard time with the directors because of my concern to provide the best possible for my family, and unfortunately, that ran cross-purposes to a potential way corps assignment the directors wanted for me. Thus the harassment started and I eventually relocated from headquarters and left TWI soon after. After leaving the way international is where my story begins. Shortly after TWI relocated me to a nearby city, me and my family moved to Cincinnati because my son's care was transferred there when he started dialysis. Moving to Cincinnati we networked into our local neighborhood, we involved ourselves in one of the neighborhood churches, and we made many new friends. I also became a happy hour regular at the corner pub where I made many more friends. I also found employment in my neighborhood in addition to my home based business. Needless to say, it was a very good move for my family. Though my son was on the deceased donor list, he waited for over two years and never received. Though we worked through many potential donors, all were disqualified. When things looked the most bleak a young lady stepped forward and said she would donate. Now, I met this young lady through one of my friends at the corner pub. She is his daughter in-law. When she heard of his condition at a friends pig roast she was touched, but unable to do anything because she was pregnant. Fast forward several months to my bosses annual Christmas party and she asked my wife how she could begin the donation process. She was a perfect match, she passed all testing with flying colors and quite remarkably I might add. Though still in somewhat disbelief, I began to get excited. On May 15, 2012, my son successfully underwent a kidney transplant. He is doing excellent, and his doctors remark frequently that his recovery is textbook perfect. The young lady that donated is recovering very well and is back on her feet with no complications. We are supported by family and a network of friends. Our neighborhood Church is the best and has coordinated meals for us, and sent a Pastor to come pray with us. They are very gracious, loving, and helpful. If that weren't enough the corner pub will soon do a benefit for my family to cover expenses. I am astounded at the Lord's deliverance for my family and how loving and helpful people have been towards us. So, at cross purposes with the board of directors, I removed myself and family from their evil organization. Since doing so, I am amazed that the negative comparisons they instilled in me are lies. The world is filled with good people. Churches, so often disparaged by TWI, are loaded with people who actually help those in need, demonstrating the love of Christ in the process. It turns out to be a good thing to network into neighborhood associations and other families regardless of what they believe. Above all The Lord directed my steps to meet a wonderful young lady who has given my son a fresh start in life. Praise The Lord!

  3. OldSkool, I am blown away by your amazing "network" story - what compassion, persistence, and generosity by everyone involved - especially the young lady donating a kidney - I can't even imagine doing something like that! What a great way to start my morning - reading your inspirational post, thanks OldSkool !

  6. Strictly speaking, her renting a room to 2 lesbians who allegedly were "former" lesbians is proof of nothing in that regard. Strictly speaking, her choosing to travel with Donna on trips and choosing to share a room with exactly 1 bed is proof of nothing- but by itself, it should be enough to raise suspicions. However, the eyewitness account of one female poster a long time ago who walked in on them immediately "after" pretty much settles it. That completes the picture. If anyone's still questioning the situation after that, it's someone who REFUSES to consider what's before them.

  7. T-Bone, you made some very good points regarding GSC. I truly believed that when I started posting here regarding my Preterist beliefs that I would be banned from this site. I've been banned from various Christian forums just for mentioning the word Preterism. Many thanks goes to the person or persons running GSC for being tolerant of alternative viewpoints no matter how crazy they seem. One thing I did expect (if I wasn't banned) was to get slammed as being debbil pozzessed or a heretic or something along those lines but that hasn't happened to my amazement. I was prepared for that and I think DWBH said something along these lines: "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen." I think for the most part we are an open minded group. We may not all agree with each other but we all are lovers of the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution. Here is a little background on my switch to Preterism from Dispensational Futurism. I was like most Christians believing that the eschatological prophecies recorded in the Bible are in our future. I became fascinated with Revelation during my teen years back in the early 80's. I read anything I could about the subject. I even saw Perry Stone and Hal Lindsey live a few times. Jump ahead to 2004... I saw a History Channel program about the early Roman Empire and some of the factions they were fighting at the time(Gauls etc). Being a history nut, I looked up 1st century Roman history online just for craps & giggles. During that internet search I ran into a Preterist web page describing the Beast of Revelation as 1st century Rome. My initial reaction was to laugh out loud and say "Bull SH**T!!!. It was the craziest thing I had ever heard of. I blew it off but then a few weeks later I ran into a different web page explaining Matthew 24 from a Preterist perspective. This got my attention because of its explanation of verse 34 "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." This verse always bugged me. Even the futurist explanation didn't really make sense to me...that it is a future generation that witnesses all of those events. I accepted that explanation but in the back of my mind there was some doubt. Why didn't Christ use the phrase "that generation" if it was a future generation? The web site also listed some parallel verses such as Matthew 16:27,28: "27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” This one is harder to twist into a future generation. But it was these anomalies that triggered my own study of this alternative explanation of Bible Prophecy. Basically, I read anything I could about Preterism for 2 years before I became 100% convinced. It was a casual study and I took my time. I think the verses that really convinced me was Revelation 22:6 & 10: 6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.” 10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. Revelation 22:10 parallels Daniel 12:9: 9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. The angel told Daniel that the prophecy would not occur in his lifetime, thus the figurative phrase rolled up and sealed is used. But Revelation 22:10 states "Do not seal up the words of this scroll." ?????? I know this is getting a bit lengthy but I want to clarify that I am a Partial Preterist. Some of the sites that I reference such as Dr. Morais's Revelation Revolution are Full Preterist sites but they contain interesting information so I reference them. Full Preterism is the belief that all of the prophecies were fulfilled by 70AD. I see Christ's return in final judgement, the 2nd resurrection, Satan thrown into the lake of fire where the Beast & False prophet(also fallen angels) already are as occurring in our future.

  10. That is so great to hear...thanks for telling it. God does not respect persons, as we've been told.....but....he does respect conditions. Once you took your family out from under the twi cage, your real and true love for and respect for Him could be demonstrated. I've seen similar things here and in my own family as well. Anyone who is afraid to leave or walk away because they think God won't spit in your direction if you leave the household.....think again and re-read this. And, indeed, praise God. krys

  12. OldSkool, That's so awesome bro. Phenomenal news - so happy for you guys. Yeah, "the world" as TWI used to denigratingly call community has some fantastic people in it. The World: Will give you a kidney TWI's BOD: Will try to get blood from a stone There's so much deliverance from God outside of false organizations like TWI. To me, many of the people in the org now seem semi-institutionalized.

  14. Praise God for the donation. I wouldn't say dispite TWI, I would say it happened because you left. You found a group, one of many outside of TWI, that actually practices what they are taught.

  15. You got that right! And we were used up and put away wet when I was out Way D (both times.) Curious how quick TWI is to skirt paying workers to advance their schemes. They prefer people to not be on the payrolls. In fact, I personally heard Rosalie lament during a leadership meeting that she hated all the employer responsibilities that have been regulated over the years. Reason? She prefers for people to be able to give instead of work for money. I'm glad they have been sued repeatedly (for other matters) and scared into compliance. I get a certain satisfaction of the all high and mighty board of directors having to grudgingly submit to real authorities.
