Hopefully, increasing numbers of Christians will be on the right side of this battle for human rights. It takes a contortionist of biblical proportions (intellectual integrity be damned) to use scripture to rationalize the denial of marriage equality to LBGTs. Hey!!! Thanks for the move up for 'Doctrinal'. Not that it's a BIG DEAL, but certainly nice of you all. Can't say we are in the basement anymore though :) I still think it's needed to discuss certain issues. Those threads have helped and healed me in ways I couldn't begin to explain. From the beginning of Greasespot really.... Maybe some ignore it, which is cool, and some laugh I suppose.... Not me, I see it's importance to many. That's my opinion anyway. I'm like pretty much done with "The Way" threads. Unless I can see where to contribute.

Something about the phrase "get over it" just makes me bristle. This is what our abusers demanded of us. Don't talk about how you feel. Don't acknowledge the negative, the unresolved hurt that still stings, still lingers. Get over it. Go witnessing. Move the Word. Speak in tongues. Do anything but honestly deal with reality. They kick the crap out of you and then chastise you for any sign of pain, any whimper. Get over it. I want to be over it too, but I'm not. And that'll have to do.
