  1. Exie - I was thinking this morning that in twenty years, most of us from the 9th Corps will be somewhere in our seventies. We're going to be thankful for all of those aerobics points.

  3. Again easy for you to take the negative viewpoint and easy for me to take the positive. I don't know if they got talked to about it or if they didn't and either do you. You know they could have gone for counseling about it for all we know. Thats how I was trained. I don't go barging into people lives. I make my life available to minister and when the door opens I can teach, help, guide. Where are your references in the book of acts? I don't see them. Many times teaching preceded healing and miracles or people just got taught and spoken to and believed with no sign or miracle. Maybe this needs to be moved to a doctrinal discussion.

  4. Oh. I thought he was referring to a specific "look" as the product we pitch. Anyways... No records in the book of acts where people went witnessing? Don't really get your point. Acts 1:8; all the records of Paul's travels and preaching. The meaning of the word commonly translated Marturia means to testify. Speech is implied. You basically tell people what God has done for you. It is where we get the word martyr. Other words for signs (semion) and miracle (teras) also bear witness. I guess I don't get what your point is. Are you trying to say that The Way tells people to go witnessing with no scriptural backing?

  5. Thanks for the open ears. Sorry I'm gonna keep the positive "high road" as you called it and assume the best. Nobody can know for sure except them and God what the heart's intention is. I'm not from California or Chicago but those individuals you refer to are the absolute best! They're Way Corps to the core and I love them for it!!!! (Did that just make you throw up in your mouth a little? hahahaha) And I do agree with you, they probably have been "counselled" to drop a few through the years and I personally don't think there is anything wrong with that but that's my opinion:) What's the product they're pitching? Any examples?

  6. Sorry I've been at work and I don't get on that often. I didn't mean to communicate that the reason people with weight issues aren't accepted isn't because of weight issues. I don't know that and I never said that. I just don't assume the crux is physical appearance. It may be because their bodies may not be healthy enough to walk a mile let alone run one. I don't know. You say that you have friends with that experience and I believe you. All I meant to say was that there are other factors to consider. Insurance, liability...I had to get a physical to play Jr. High baseball for gosh sakes. To me that is more logical. I know a minister who is literally huge. But she is amazing at loving people and she can push push push all day long. She gives and can go all day giving, teaching and loving. Nobody gets on her case about her weight cause they see how she can serve without reservation or hindrance and she is healthy. Not trying to fan the flames. Just offering another viewpoint. Flames will be flamed by it but that forum claims to be open discussion, but it seems to being leaning to personal attacks now./ But that's ok. We are all entitled to our own opinion.
