  1. You may be a TWI tool if..... You let them destroy other marriages before they got to yours. (For me, splinter group experience, but painful to consider nevertheless) You may be a TWI tool if... You falsly accuse others of slander and do not even say that you are sorry..... (No code breaking necessary I trust) You may be a TWI tool if... You are o.k. with someone being falsely accused of practically criminal actions as long as no one dares calls you "braniac."

  2. At the anniversary weekend in 2000 awards were given out (certificates I think) for people who had been "in the Word" for 20, 25, 30, 40 etc years. I had taken PFAL in 1978, 22 years earlier, but didn't get a certificate because I wasn't active for about 7 years in the middle of that time. :( Do they still do that?

  3. I probably would have done the go up and say hello long time no see scenario and let the chips fall where they may .. even if you don't bring up TWI.. the other people are going to be asking where they know you from... Oh yeah! and the bus story. LOLOL

  4. Yeah.. well, what good is power if one uses it.. this is about the third time I've been in a position to either ruin somebody, or start some kind of cult.. who says power corrupts.. heh. The first time.. I was hitch-hiking from Athens to Bluefield West Virginia. Circa 1974. About twelve miles or so, if I remember correctly.. A church bus passed me as I began my journey, and ignored my request for a ride.. right after the church bus passed, I got a ride.. five blocks up, the bus stopped for gas. We passed the bus, the driver unaware of my passage.. the car let me off a half mile down the road. So the bus passed again, twice ignoring my hand signal for a ride.. right after I got yet another ride. This one went about a mile and a half. The church bus had stopped to drop off something or another at a church.. and was unaware of my passage yet again. this happened two more times.. and the fifth time.. the guy stopped the van.. with ashen face.. and asked me if I was an angel, or Jesus.. I could have told him ANYTHING.. and he would have believed it.. "naw.. I'm just as "ordinary" as anybody else.."

  5. OMG, that reminds me of the time we were given some stupid new bumper sticker to replace the old green one. Something about prevailing, blah, blah, blah. The only thing I really remember was dreading someone looking at the back of my car and seeing it wasn't there. No way I was going to work with that thing on my bumper. Do they still even sell bumper stickers? All 85 people in WayVille probably have one by now anyway. ;) JT

  6. Your husband must have been a very good man Shellon. The first...uh...third aid folks at ROA were completely incompetant however. So glad you are here.

  7. As far as I'm concerned, the TWI doctrine on 'bitterness' goes hand in hand with the 'just get over it' view on forgiveness. In TWI if some leader did you evil and you were upset about it and didn't get over it right away as if it never happened, then YOU were more out to lunch than the one who did the evil. Very convenient doctrine for abusers. Gives them all the breaks and puts all the hard work and change on the victim. Your emotions are inconvenient to the movement of the Word, get over it, God wants you to. I say, remember what they did and don't tell them it is all okay, which is what they want--all okay and they haven't changed a bit.

  8. Right George.....it was the '60's! LOL . One of the reasons I love reading your posts is that you are always totally honest! So what if your brain cells were on a vacation of sorts. Maybe you were exhausted from working 3 jobs and needed your sleep. Maybe you were in Japan! No worries, mate.(you'll have make your own Australian accent for that)

  9. I'm sorta ashamed to admit it, but I have no idea. I was always interested in Science and space exploration and all that, but I just have no memory of the moon landing whatever. Well, it was the '60s...

  14. I was polite to the kid and even went to bat for him on the first few pages, I see now that most of everyone else had the right idea all along.--nothings changed, its the same sold sh!t--even when given the opportunity The top dogs of the offshoots are scared to death that they will be exposed for what they are here, so stay behind their facades and illusions instead of having an honest one on one conversation like anyone else that you have to deal with..... Calebs comment about "being covered in cow crap" was truer than he knows

  15. The irony. . . . . . if you could SIT... blah, blah... Your proof in the senses world...(BUT we weren't supposed to be deceived by our 5 senses!) I missed that one! SIT was(IMHO) a crock of S IT. And. . . . it was never really about trying to be good. . . although we were "The Best" . . . . and I know because people used to tell me so ALL the time. Accountability is what I learned AFTER TWI. When I didn't have someone always telling me I was God's elite, super special believer with all the power and actually doing Him the favor. It is a wonder God ever made it without us. . . Oh that's right. . . he didn't. . . he was lost until it snowed on gas pumps. Duh. . . . silly me. I wonder if SOWERS has picked up the slack we cop-outs left?
