The Chicken Incident

Right up the road we pulled off to a spot where the entrance to a path turned out to be closed, so we couldn't get to those falls. When we came back, we sat in our car for a bit and looked over the map, parked near a small bridge. Suddenly a chicken showed up, coming up from the creek side next our car. Then another. They were the oddest thing - wild chickens - and the first couple birds just stood near our car looking at us. We figured they must be used to being fed, as they just stood there waiting. Theh one squacked and another couple came up. We finally backed out...slowly...as they just stood there watching us.....
