  2. Psycho Janet Leigh Bye Bye Birdie George
  3. I don't think that would help, since I'm not familiar enough with the show to pick a quote that would give it away. BLUE BLOODS Free Post! George
  4. " I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you." " I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you." " I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you." "What was it we had for dinner tonight?" "Well, we had a choice of steak or fish." "Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna." "Bet, babe. Slide a piece o' da' porter. Drinks, I run da' java." "Lookie here. I can dig grease 'n chompin' on some buns and draggin' through the garden."
  5. Maximilian Schell The Black Hole Anthony Perkins (If, for some reason, you get stuck, you can continue by switching Anthony Perkins with Slim Pickens )
  6. I think we don't think this quote is that easy, George. Maybe an additional quote?
  7. Oh, my turn! Hang on, I need to think of something.
  8. Sounds familiar. Something like "Corpse" by "Mashed Taters and Gravy" or something.
  9. OK, we're probably talking Stephen King. It would help if I'd read some of his stuff. Any chance this is "THE STAND"????
  10. "I must've dreamed a thousand dreams, Been haunted by a million screams. But I can hear the marching feet They're moving into the streets. Now, did you read the news today? They say the danger's gone away. But I can see the fires still alight. They're burning into the night." "This is the world we live in (Oh, oh, oh) And these are the hands we're given (Oh, oh, oh) Use them and let's start trying (Oh, oh, oh) To make it a place worth living in." "Ooh, Superman, where are you now When everything's gone wrong somehow? The men of steel, the men of power Are losing control by the hour."
  11. After 3 days I'm goggling. Not really. I got nothing.
  12. Ouch. I knew the song but clearly not enough. It's the same old theme since 1916 In your head, In your head they're still fightin' With their tanks and their bombs
  13. Yesterday
  14. The author of the standalone novel on which this series is based also wrote a series of novels in which it is revealed that all his standalone novels are, in fact, interconnected. This novel was adapted to a well-received movie decades before it was adapted into a pretty darn good tv series. It ran on cable, not broadcast tv. The premise really did lend itself to an episodic approach, though the original novel and movie didn't really get to exploit that. Producers predicted a seventh, final season, but they [and fans] were disappointed by fate: the network's decision to cancel after the sixth season finale, which ended on a cliffhanger that was never resolved. Sure, you could read the book or watch the original movie to get the original ending. But the artistic freedom to take the story to a different place than the foreordained ending was eliminated, sadly. On the bright side, World War III hasn't started. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
  15. "Have you ever heard of Harry Houdini? Well he wasn't like today's magicians who are only interested in television ratings. He was an artist. He could make an elephant disappear in the middle of a theater filled with people, and do you know how he did that? Misdirection". "When this all started, I told you that we would find the son of a bitch, sir. I never expected that the son of a bitch would be you". "All cowboys ain't dumb. Some of 'em got smarts real good, like me".
  16. Last week
  17. "Ooh, Superman, where are you now When everything's gone wrong somehow? The men of steel, the men of power Are losing control by the hour."
  18. *taps microphone* Did I get it right? *looks it up* Yes, I did. Somebody forgot to post a reply. Well, then, it's my turn...
  19. No. "Us" refers to a profession, not a species or race. George
  20. I wasn't sure about the second quote, but the fourth was the clincher. "LES MISERABLES."
  21. To love another person is to see the face of God. *** For the wretched of the earth there is a flame that never dies -- even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise.
