I guess I still have a lousy conception of how fast the posts pour in near a milestone...I thought I was quitting ahead of time and here I was already past 3400! Well I can vouch for the accidental nature of Dabob's milestone for this reason and for the humility of my THE2K benefactor.

These things are outside the Neanderthal understanding, let alone most Cro Magnon men.
In the Neanderthal tradition when he is looking for a mate, he just gets within 30 yards upwind of his chosen female and his body odor knocks her out. By the time she regains conciousness, she already has three kids and another on the way.
The females finally figured this out and made sure they stayed downwind of us and that is why the neanderthals died out.
This method worked great with hunting too. It sure was better than trying to beat a wooly mammouth to death with clubs.

You are right, it does normally get tricky when it is crowded with posters.
The night of THE2K, I was alone with THE board to myself reading each number on the open forum page to see what the next one would be. I knew precisely when I stopped at 1999.
The worry was that it might take hours for someone to fill THE2K so I could continue my last few bad jokes. I knew several THE posters were in the Chatroom as I was watching it too.(for sneak attacks)
Fortunately, you exited chat to explore the open forum just a few minutes later and the rest is history as they say.

b-b-butt (snif) I was raised to be the wifeada Propheda! I know how to twist arms to get the cleaning done and how to provoke enough guilt that some poor soul will take care of our kids as long as we want.
I'll do the cooking, because I am the only one who understands the Neanderthalese recipes. And I truly would rather do the other chores myself too. But one does have to keep up appearances, you know!

Neanderthal fragrence is the sweetest thing on earth - - and club beatings only prove one's love in the land of Neanderthal! (My daddy own's the best half of Rhode Island!) And - as far as looks go, it is good that your cousin got all the good ones...I prefer my Neanderthals on the rough side anyway! I can live at high altitudes too...without heat in winter...I don't use much oxygen!!!
But (snif) as DaPropheda Dabobada, the one and only, the bestest Propheda of THE, I do understand that thou mayest surely take thine pick of any maiden in the land...young or old...rich or poor...in sickness and in health...(oopsies) so I understand your lack of affection for me. Or, maybe you just prefer living alone on top of your snow-capped mountain.
I hope you have fun on your vacation, where ever it is you're going, and whenever you go, and however long you wanna stay.
But just remember...my love is undying...that means it'll be around a while...and I'll (sniff) still be here, waiting just in case you don't find somebody else of my caliber and quality...my high (or is it better to have low ones) standards according to THE.
I will be forever waiting in the wings (snif) eventhough I did enjoy singing along with you (alas and alack!)...just in case you change your mind.

Just dropping by ("peep") to vouch ("peep peep") for Paw ("hush Puh-Paw, I'm busy") and I must say... he has never looked better. I'm planning a peep intervention but other than that our loyal Priest is as good as new (well there is that little peep-purple streak in his hair, but Vine is bringing the bleach over and we'll have it fixed up in no time).
